Summary: I picked up this tablet as a alternative to getting a small laptop and a separate 10" tablet. The key was to the full sized SD card slot and the ability to easily transfer files to an external USB drive. With a Go-Pro camera the ability to move files in a familiar environment is a great bonus. The WindPad works great and is able to play the 720 60fps video without issues making it great for reviewing videos before moving them to the external drive for storage.
Summary: First impressions: - The hardware looks nice, feels good, and was well packaged. It survived shipping in perfect condition despite having been packed in a large box with basically no padding - The only noticeable issue is that the screen is *very* reflective, however in my very brightly lit office, it is quite readable; the reflections are just a distraction. - I bought this tablet because I needed windows and GPS and this has both...few do.
Summary: Pros- Dual Core, 4GB RAM* onboard GPS* 1280x800 IPS display discrete graphics 64 bit OS dual webcams SD slot is SDXC compatible optical mouse TPM HDMI out Wifi/Bluetooth and 3G* easily runs Windows 7.( AND Windows 8 with 100% driver compatibility!) Cons- Included 32GB mSata drive is slow and too small for realistic usage with Windows 7 or 8. Power adapter is a joke, cord is only 1 meter. power connector is on bottom of device so it's diffficult to use while plugged in.
Summary: It seems like a bargain but you will need more ram and a bigger ssd so consider a Samsung if you don't like doing complex upgrades. If you go for it you will be happy but Samsung is selling at Microsoft stores and will have more accessories easily purchased.
Summary: The MSI WindPad 110W came with the following: 1 Windows 7 64bit Home Premium CD 1 MSI Drivers and Tools CD 1 rubber tipped pen (tip is about the size of a one year old's pinky finger) Paper documentation The charger plug is short (as stated by others, no big deal, use an extension cord) however, it has a bayonet tip type plug-in into the MSI WindPad and at the bottom of the unit!
