Summary: I was very excited about receiving my new tablet. It looks sensational and is nice to hold. Feels solid and the HD screen is fantastic. But... It has a mind of its own! I can put it down while it flicks from one screen to the next and opens apps that I haven't asked for. I suspect that it might be a severe fault with my tablet however I note from other reviews that I am not the only person reporting glitches with it. To be honest it has put me right off tablets.
Summary: Lovely Tablet, a true underdog. It ran smooth on ICS (OTA update), great screan, good battery life, good connectivity (USB, HDMI, etc), quality look and feel. Unfortunately the charger or the Micro USB charging connecter didn't function properly within 10 weeks of usage. so I reluctantly returned the device to the seller, Expansys. TNTexpress came to my door to collect the parcel and is was shipped to Expansys in Montpelier, France.
Summary: I do think at the current price point this could of been an ipad rival if not killer however there is one fatal flaw to the thing. I'm on my second xoom 2 since july 17th! There is a fatal floor with the charging mechanism. i don't understand why but this is the second one thats broken on me and i am most upset i am currently trying to get a refund so i can purchase a samsung galaxy.
Summary: I bought this tablet 5 months ago. Since then it continuously hangs without any reason. It is frustrating to try working with. Motorola doesn't solve the problem that is well known by the xoom 2 users. In the Motorola forums there are a lot of messages about the problem and there is any answer about. I'm very disappointed about this expensive product. If you can select another brand, don't think about it, choose the other.
Summary: This is really one of Motorola's colossal failures. Almost none of the Android apps support it and most don't even know it exists! It seems this tablet was a complete experiment, released to the unfortunate control group of UK and Ireland, since to my knowledge it isn't sold anywhere else... So for those of you who think, "Gee this is as good (or better than) the first Xoom, and cheaper than a Galaxy", well there is a reason for that...
Summary: The size and the hardware of the Xoom 2 Media Edition are awesome. Unfortunately there are multiple problems with the software, and now Motorola has announced they won't be upgrading the software to Ice Cream Sandwich until Q3 at the earliest. Android 5.0 will be out by then. Very poor showing from Motorola.
Summary: I found the xoom 2 ME the perfect size and being a fan of android it appeared to be a perfect match. However now having had the tablet for a month now I can say it has so many problems it feels like I have bought a tablet from an unknown/very low cost manufacturer instead of motorola. I have checked on the various forums and found that others are also having the same issues: 1) I use corporate email - this stops working after a few days.
Summary: I was very impressed by this tablet, up until the point where I attempted to put media onto it. I am an Android developer so I know a fair bit about Android and it's workings, so I was surprised when I couldn't just drag and drop my media into the Movies folder on the tablet's hard drive (Android is known for the ability to just drag and drop), indeed, it kept telling me that the Xoom wouldn't allow anything to be put into the root directory, and when I did finally...
Summary: I first saw this in a shop and was immediately drawn to the size and weight - perfect for single-handed reading but also a good size for videos - and to the build quality. I saw some reviews on Youtube and was disappointed with the lack of memory expansion but thought 16Gb would probably be more than enough. It all looked good so I bought one, expecting to be delighted. Nothing at all delighted me about this device.
