Expert Review

  • Excerpt: While people have comparing tablets to laptops since before the iPad, it’s only now that they’re really starting to compete, apples for apples. The Microsoft Surface Pro doesn’t just pack the exact same software as Windows 8 laptops, but the same, or even more powerful, specs too. That full HD 10.6-inch screen is powered by a blazing third-generation Intel Core i5 processor, so you can run all the apps and games you would on your PC, on the go.

Microsoft Surface Pro Review

Good E-Book Readers
1 April 2013
  • Conclusion: The Surface PRO on a fundamental hardware level is fairly sound. It meets the needs of your average user, but may not appeal to people who need a high-performance machine. If you do casual website editing, blogging, small bursts of gaming, or browsing the internet, you should be OK. If you need to do extensive video editing, or image editing, you have major apps that you can use, but the rendering times may be lower than on a traditional PC.
  • Pros: HD Display, Stylus, Windows Legacy Support, Audio and Video Codex
  • Cons: 4 Hour Battery Life, 23.4 GB Free to Use on a 64 GB model, Blackberry Z10 Speaker Quality Is Better, Using the Virtual Keyboard in Desktop Situations Is Terrible

Microsoft Surface Pro Review

LAPTOP Magazine
5 February 2013
  • Summary: Are tablets the future of mobile computing? Yes, but as the Microsoft Surface Pro demonstrates, there's a long way to go before the right balance is struck between speed and endurance. While we like its design and Core i5 performance, there's no getting around the fact that an $899, two-pound device with 4.5 hours of battery life is impractical for those who need or want to carry a tablet for extended periods of time.
  • Pros: Fast boot time, Ultrabook power with Core i5, Attractive design, Sharp and bright 1080p display
  • Cons: Short battery life, Keyboard not included, Must store stylus on outside of tablet, Poor camera quality

Microsoft Surface Pro

THE INQUIRER
27 May 2013
  • Conclusion: As a tablet, Microsoft's Surface Pro exceeded our expections, as its full Windows 8 OS will not only install any Windows PC application but is powerful enough to run everything you'd find on an ultrabook. However, its high price tag means that it's not only much more expensive compared to Apple's iPad and Android tablets, but with an additional keyboard it will cost about the same as an ultrabook, starting at £819 while lacking some of the features of a good laptop, such...
  • Pros: Bright and vibrant touchscreen, full Windows 8 OS compatibility, good performance.
  • Cons: Bulky and heavy for a tablet, shorter battery life than the Surface RT, Microsoft Office isn't preloaded., What you get for the price.

TEST: Microsoft Surface Pro

mobizmag.no
3 October 2013
  • Conclusion: Så, bør du kjøpe denne maskinen? Nei!
