Probably not the fastest but a Wonderful Easy to use Tablet
29 May 2014
Summary: This is the first tablet I have ever owned. I purchased it to give me a little more convenience for work and reading. With all the grandkids activities I do a lot of sitting and waiting so it's nice to have a book at hand. After reading the reviews I wasn't sure this would be the right tablet for me since the major complaint seemed to be the poor visual field for the screen.
Summary: I did a fair bit of research on this, and ended up buying it on sale for $199 from Staples. I just couldn't justify the cost of an iPad or iPad mini, and while our Coby 7" Android did yeoman's effort for our little ones (7 and 3), the battery life was just abysmal. Basically, we were looking for a fairly durable tablet with good battery life and nice touchscreen that wasn't $350+ like the iPad mini or Nexus 10.
Really wanted to like this item...Really did... UPDATE 06/03/2013

Summary: Bought and had this delivered May 9th, and used it minimally till May 11th. With it being fully charged, and ready to install and make it mine to use, it shut off and will not turn on again whether I plug it in or not. Thinking it needed a battery drained, I let it sit for seven hours, then tried again, to no avail. This is sad, with what little use I did on it, I enjoyed it better than my Kindle Fire HD except for the speaker part.
Summary: likes: speed -- quad core and ram is snappy! micro-sd slot -- hidden, but i added a 32gb microsdhc usb otg -- i use a thinkpad keyboard with this and it works great. recent android release not a lot of bloatware installed dislikes: thickness -- a bit thick, but its masked a bit when you put a case on it. screen -- if your primary function is to read books on this, don't get it. the screen would probably drive you mad.
Summary: I waited to write my review for the initial "OMGTHISISAWESOME" to wear off. Now that it has, I use the tablet daily. It has replaced my kindle fire as my default reader & game tablet. The graphics are very good (no, not exellent), the performance is excellent. The HDMI is a plus, the miroSD is a plus. My biggest and really my only complaint is that, because it isn't a top name tablet, shopping for accessories is tougher. Cases, screen protectors, etc. are harder to find.
Summary: Update: 05/29/13 After a week, it came back with factory reloaded and it seemed to be working. Then a week goes by and it's the same thing. This time I noticed that the volume up button was not working just before it died, so I suspected that the volume button is stuck and is causing it to constantly reboot to recovery. Sent it back to Lenovo again (this time they paid for shipping both ways) and they replace the mother board.
Summary: I read many reviews on this tablet before ordering. Most reviews focused on what they considered to be a lackluster screen, not nearly to the resolution they expected from Lenovo. However, already owning a Lenovo laptop helped me recognize the quality this tablet would exhibit. Sure enough, the quality is there. The fit and finish is great. The speed of its Tegra system is very nice.
