The Lenovo IdeaPad Slate is a computer tablet that was announced at the CES 2011 event in Las Vegas. Featuring a 10.1-inch high-resolution screen, this tablet supports true 1080p HD. It is equipped with a 32GB of solid state drive that is expandable through a side-memory card slot. It also comes ready with 2GB of RAM. Not forgetting the fact that the IdeaPad Slate comes with built-in 3G connectivity. Powered by the Intel Oak Trail processor, this tablet computer comes with a USB port and a microSD slot. It comes ready with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. Releasing sometime in March 2011, this tablet from Lenovo is powered by a battery that can last for about six hours of web browsing on a single charge. On the same battery, the IdeaPad Slate tablet PC can last for about four and a half hours when constantly playing videos.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slate tablet PC comes with a range of interesting features. There’s a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen on this tablet that allows finger based touch input and stylus input. It comes with a user interface that has been customized by Lenovo. This has been done so that there can be a section of “work” and “play” that will be applicable for the apps on the homscreen of this tablet.Running on Windows 7, the Ideapad Slate offers both finger and pen based touch input. There’s the Intel Oak Trail processor running at 1.5GHz that helps to power up the computer with special graphics from Intel's GMA600 chip. There’s 2GB of RAM and 30GB SanDisk solid state disk that are featured on this tablet, which accounts for its memory capacity. It is equipped with a headphone jack and a proprietary connector. The Ideapad Slate allows users to input text through the stylus as Windows 7 comes with the handwriting recognition.
