Summary: Though the games are fun and the product seems durable, the LeapPad has been a disappointment overall. Even with some of the free apps that come pre-loaded, you must connect to your computer to get more supplies. If you are travelling this is not always possible, and my child has become really frustrated when she can no longer play what she wants. [...
Summary: I love the Leap series. They have soooo many tools that there is no way your child will not learn. The Leap series is also better when you want them to learn versus just playing games. I bought this to share between both my kids. Almost all the games will work in it. The only negative was that when the box arrived it said it included a USB cable. Mine did not.
Summary: I bought this product for my almost 3 year old for Christmas. It was recommended to me by a friend whose son uses his every day and loves it. The first one I got was broken. It let me make a profile but once I charged the rechargeable batteries it would not power back on. I contacted Leapfrog and they suggested trying it with non rechargeable batteries. It still didn't work. I contacted Amazon and they shipped a new one immediately. So far the new one works fine.
Summary: My five year old adores this electronic toy, and I'm amazed at how much it can actually do. Beyond playing the games you can purchase, and besides the apps you can download from the LeapFrog website, the LeapPad also utilizes touch screen capabilities and a camera! In fact, it's very similar to a tablet in many ways. Of course, it does not have wi-fi, nor does it claim to.
Summary: I ordered this as a present for my 6 year old grandson in the USA, so I haven't actually seen it myself but my daughter tells me that her son "absolutely loves it" and would play on it for hours if he could. It arrived a bit before the suggested delivery date, which was fine, and was all in good order. Money well spent.
