  • Summary: I am enjoying my le pan tc970. This is my first tablet and is very easy to use. The processor is snappy. The quality of the screen is very good. I am writing this to you using the speech recognition on my tablet. The battery life is excellent. I have not put it down since I got it.

Most bang for you buck!

Angela F., Newegg
8 March 2012
  • Summary: It's not the fastest. It doesn't have the best battery. It is lacking in some points. BUT for the price of the best in all, you can own 8 of these. Worth every penny and maybe more IMO.
  • Pros: For what I needed it for, it fit the bill to a T! I wanted a systems to play with android and I got exactly that.
  • Cons: Other than the fact that I have never messed with android OS, and it was a process to get comfortable with the OS, the tablet had NO problem with me fumbling around with it.

  • Summary: I read reviews for days before buying this tablet. I almost did not buy it because of all the complaints of the freezing up. I have been using mine for four days now without a problem.

No-compromise low-cost tablet

Steven R., Newegg
23 February 2012
  • Summary: I would recommend this very highly to any experienced Android users who gas no qualms about installing OS updates and rooting the system. For me, it provides everything I need for 1/3 the cost of a comparable iPad. Perhaps a little more than 1/3 when a 32GB SD card is added.
  • Pros: Surprisingly high quality construction, good performance, good Android Market application support. Great display and battery life. Free 3-day shipping delivered unit in 2 days despite cross-continent distance.
  • Cons: Lack of manufacturer support of OS upgrades, but independent efforts are underway and Honeycomb and ICS are likely to be available relatively soon via XGA forums. Not much support from manufacturer. Doesn't come with ANY written instructions and very little posted on manufacturer's web site. Very...

  • Summary: As someone who has been diagnosed with ALS I find this tablet to be a great tool that allows me to stay somewhat connected to the world. I would recommend this tablet to anyone that is house bound or has limited mobility.
  • Pros: It has done everything I've wanted so far. I use it to read, play games, surf the net and watch video. For the $194 I paid for it, I'm extremely happy!
  • Cons: It's no where near as fast as some of the newer tablets out, plus it is limited to app's that are compatible with Android 2.2 OS (Froyo) which is about 95% of them

Very nice tablet

Shawn L., Newegg
18 January 2012
  • Summary: Le Pan may not be a well known name when it comes to tablets, but this tablet is definitely an amazing value. When you pick it up, you know immediately this is NOT the average cheap Chinese tablet.
  • Pros: Beautiful screen, excellent color saturation and viewing angles due to using an LG LP097X02-SLA3 IPS display, exact same panel as the Apple iPad 1 and HP Touchpad. 4:3 ratio (1024x768) display is better for web browsing in either orientation. Very sensitive GLASS capacitive multitouch touchscreen...
  • Cons: No official upgrades beyond Froyo 2.2. Connects to my Wifi router at G speeds despite having an N wireless chipset (4626 firmware). Default pixel density is too large, making textboxes and icons take up too much screen real-estate, although this may be a pro for someone with visual impairment (ca...

Best Tablet for your money

Anonymous, Newegg
17 January 2012
  • Summary: If you are looking for a rock solid tablet that has endless capabilities, and great battery life, this is the tablet for you.
  • Pros: This tablet is extremely fast and stable. I have two of them one for me and one for my wife. I have compared this tablet to my friends and families more expensive tablets including the I-puke. This tablet has better size, speed, up time, and its battery life is amazing. I could not be happier wit...

Great value

Michelle H., Newegg
14 January 2012
  • Summary: Can't afford an iPad? There's no reason to with a product like this available at such a good price.
  • Pros: I wanted a large tablet but couldn't justify the price till I saw Le Pan reviews and ordered one. I've had it about three weeks and love it. Appears to be a well made, quality tablet in every way. It's a great replacement for me of what I had been doing on my phone and older Kindle, but now I use...
  • Cons: Need to run their update but it says I'll have to reinstall all the apps, so I have been stalling on updating. Wish I had done that as soon as it came out of the box.
