Summary: I have a LePan II tablet. I started emailing them in the beginning of November, telling them that my tablet is having trouble waking up. I finally found the "contact form", and reported to them at this time, that it would not turn on at all.
Summary: Unfortunately this device didn't last even 2 months. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend and she used it pretty minimally for face book and email. The bulk of its use was for you tube videos and netflix, which we had no problem streaming.
Pros: Was affordable, Fast enough processor, and a durable build.
Summary: I wont try to save $30 or so (it was on sale) over tried and true brands. Just my take.
Pros: Android is sweet.
Cons: We purchased this for our son's christmas present and in the first week it broke. The power button sticks and/or loses contact internally. In other words it will not turn on no matter how long button is held or how many times it is pressed. Being I bought it a more than a month before christmas r...
Summary: The Lepan II is much better than the Lepan TC970 (or Lepan I). The OS functions so much better. Not sure why the Lepan TC970 dont allow upgrade to the newer android OS, it might improve the problems that is occuring. The Lepan II still running without a problem for more that 8 months now.
Pros: nice screen and brightness. Can hold 32GB MicroSD. Simple and easy to use (my 3 year old can use it). Nice and friendly customer service. Loud speakers. Like the look, feel and performance that I purchased a Lepan II with 3.2.
Cons: Small power button. heavy. Not android upgradeable. The 1st one died within a month. Newegg replaced under the 30 days - Love Newegg!! The 2nd one started freezing every 5 mins within 1.5 months after receiving it. Have to press reset button every 5 mons. In Lepan repair facility now.
Summary: Even if the unit was scratched when I returned it (which I do not believe is the case) it should not matter because New Egg sent me a tablet that was broken in the first place! If this isn't made right in a timely manner I will never do business with New Egg again, either personally or through my...
Pros: I think this would be a very nice product if it was working properly.
Cons: The unit I received would freeze when I plugged it in for charging. After unplugged it would not reboot properly, and froze frequently during the boot sequence. It required many manual resets to get it functioning after charging. This wastes hours of time each instances the device needs to be cha...
Pros: Was easy to use, nice picture. My wife was very happy with it, for all of three weeks.
Cons: After three weeks, the on/off switch ceases to work. Filled out an RMA and was promised "prompt repair/replacement of unit". They have had my unit for almost a month now. All I get when inquiring on status are generic responses such as "your unit is being processed". Tried to call but the number ...
Summary: Loved this at first but after having issues with the old operating system and now having the thing go crazy with random screen colors, this is a total dog. Will not be buying any LePan product from here on!
Pros: 1) Great battery life. 2) Low price.
Cons: 1) Bottom right corner lifts up, not perfect seal. 2) Very slow boot up and shut down times. 3) After using it for 4 months, the screen went totally crazy with random colors on it. 4) Company claimed to have OS upgrade from Froyo (Android 2) to a newer upgrade, but never released it. Then release...
Cons: Worst thing I have ever waisted my money on. The tab is stuck in a boot loop and nothing I do will fox this problem. BEWARE dont buy this tablet you will be sorry. Spend the extra money and get a good one.
Summary: Though looking solid and bright on the outside, the less than $200 price tag was made possible by cutting cost on internal components. What you don't see won't hurt you right? Wrong!
Pros: Bright screen, solid body, highly visible.
Cons: Dead within 4 months! Seems the product was designed as a teaser that will be replaced by a new model (Le Pan II) with faster chips and higher memory. Quite a few users in various forums report the same short life span, I RMA'd my tab and still waiting to get it back, it's taking a while despite ...
