Summary: Length:: 9:24 Mins Kids always want to model what adults are doing. This causes two problems with most tablets, that Kurio solves with this tablet. Problem #1: If a youngster plays on your game, then they might mess things up. Problem #2: There's not a great way to lock kids out of purchases and changing settings.
Summary: so my son got a kurio 10s last year and it worked for a while than it stopped charging, we contacted kurio and went through 3 weeks of bullship finally almost when the warranty was up we where told to send the kurio in, about a month later we get a new kurio in the mail. in the mean time its almost xmass so it was decided that we would get our daughters each a kurio since they are replacing / fixing my sons 10s , we get two 7s before xmass.
Summary: We bought a few kids tablets (and had to return a few). we finally came across this tablet and I will say this is my favorite!!! I bought one for my 7 & 5 yr old for Christmas, they navigate the easily and I love the parental controls, it supports google apps, has different profiles (for multiple people) as well as the time controls. This tablet is everything I wanted for my kids..
Summary: Bought this tablet for my 5 year old, so far she really seems to like it. It came with the Google Play store right out of the box plus the Kurio store so there are plenty of apps to choose from. It also comes preloaded with about 60 apps including Where's My Water, Cut the Rope and Angry Birds, you can delete the apps you aren't going to use which adds more storage space. So far Netflix and Youtube both run pretty well.
Summary: I got this to be able to Skype with my grandkids. I was able to install Skype but could not get it to connect. So thought I would install Oovoo instead, but can't download it. Even though it's an Android device, you cannot access your Google Play Store account from this device. The parental controls seemed like a good idea, but they've locked the system up so tight that if you want anything other than the standard kid games and apps that come with it, you have to take...
Excerpt: I got this tablet for my son last March for his birthday. Not even a month after he got it the charger would not work, also I've always have problems with pre loaded games on the tablet. And when he's playing the games, the tablet freezes up so bad that it interrupts the game he's playing and we have to constantly turn the tablet on and off to get it to work. Everything keeps resetting and I have to set the settings every other day.
Summary: This looks like a perfect tablet for a kid on the surface. However, I found it to be a pain. I spent too much time when he first got the tablet trying to figure out why things would not work. Then we had issues where apps would not load. I understand this happening occasionally, but this was frequent. It was slow, slower than I would expect for an out of box experience. Battery would not show 100% after charging for several hours consistently.
Excerpt: I bought two of these tablets as a Christmas gift for my son's. My son's fell in love with this tablet, to only be let down.I would have given more stars, a higher rating, but after only two weeks one of the tablets got stuck on loading and stopped working. My five year old was very upset. My four year old still has his ,so they fight over it.
Summary: I purchased three (3) of these tablets. 2 of them are working fine. 1 of them stopped getting the internet. I reported this to the vendor, and they refunded my money. Now I just need to replace my g-daughter's tablet.
