My fault

  • Summary: I didn't know enough about the product to realize one must have wifi in order to download books. I don't have wifi so the reader is virtually useless to me. Only other complaint is that it's heavy. Wish I'd bought the original Kobo as the one I used to death was perfect for me. Might just pop for the Kindle Paperwhite 3G and get it over with. In the meantime, reading off my Android phone.

Not to shaby

  • Summary: A friend visiting me had one and it seemed the best way to read a book and carry around in a purse. It's a nice little gadget for travelling and to bring on the beach but finally, there's nothing like a good real book and turning real pages. It's nice to have to carry around for FB and google but it's not a must on my list.. I could've gone without...

User Review

  • Summary: I often feel that the Kobo Vox is given a hard time. Straightaway, people tend to compare it to tablet PCs. If you're measuring it against an iPad or the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it's not in the same league. But to be fair to Kobo, they do go to pains to stress that it ISN'T really a tablet pc. It's a souped-up e-reader. If you compare it to other e-readers, it's brilliant. It's affordable, it has full colour, it can browse the internet properly, it can play videos and music.
  • Pros: The price
  • Cons: A bit sluggish
