  • Summary: MY 1st IMPRESSION NOT GOOD. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE MY SAMSUNG TABLET WITH ANDROID OS 2.3 WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MANY APPS AND WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL CITI BANK MOBILE APP ON KOBO IT AGAIN IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH KOBO IN SPITE OF MUCH NEWER OS 4.0... FEW OTHER THINGS DID NOT WORK WELL TOO, THE START SCREEN. AS I GOT OPEN BOX ORDER I DON'T KNOW THE REAL CONDITION OF IT... I'LL PUT SOME MORE TIME TIME TO EXPLORE IT...

Kobo is a scam artist company! This breaks eventually!

  • Summary: Kobo sells junk and knows it. This will freeze up and become unusable either due to software issues or hardware issues like defective batteries. Good luck getting Kobo to do anything for you either. Their customer service is abysmal and is only out to get out of any responsibility for their junk. For the price of this item get a high end android tablet that does way more and won't break down in 3 months!

Worst tablet ever

  • Summary: Build quality is awful. Bought for my daughter based on reviews by tech sites but after a few weeks it just stopped working and would not power on. Still waiting for it to be repaired under warranty but no sign of it yet.Also had to pay £8.45 to insure it in transit when sending it back under warranty. Bought a cheaper Asus memo so we were not without something to use and found it to be ten times better for nearly half the price.

Faulty USB Port

  • Summary: I don't recommend this item. I bought one for my eldest as a Christmas present (2013). It has good points - ably listed by others who have given it 5 stars or slightly less. Sean found his 64gb model was fast enough with no serious screen delay. While it worked it was very good. I was impressed and was thinking of getting myself one. Less than three months down the line the USB port has come loose. So now it can't be charged up.

  • Summary: I was very disappointed in the Kobo Arc. It might have been different if I had a lot of computer training or gadget training but for someone who is just starting out in this field it is a total disaster. All I had wanted was a simple reader but I guess Kobo does not make those things. I returned the Kobo & purchased a Sony.

Returned Kobo Arc after frustrating 24 hrs

  • Summary: I received a Kobo Arc for Christmas, primarily as an eReader but also to allow me, via email, to stay in touch with my wife next year when we are in separate parts of Europe. After hours of trying to get the outgoing mail server settings to work for my Bell mail, I discovered it cannot be done and there is no fix for it. I spent a further couple of hours trying to activate my Kobo to let me borrow books from my local library. I gave up.

  • Summary: at first I was very happy with the purchase of the kobo arc. then after downloading some apps and books it began to slow down, internet connectivity is spotty always disconnecting when I use no matter signal strength, battery doesn't last nearly as long as advertised, then after less then a month it would not charge properly.

dissatisfied kobo customer

  • Summary: I have been disappointed in my kobo. I have had one unit replaced, and, initially the new unit was good. But, within two weeks I began having problems with an unresponsive screen, or a screen that virtually did what it wanted not what I asked it to. This occurred occasionally on my first unit, but not as bad. FS has been great in helping with replacement, but a unit should not consistently have this trouble.
