Summary: They have no phone line in Canada or the US and no email - they have that available to customers in Japan and Europe but not North America First of all the good: excellent zoom features, and good visibility. Screen remains clear after considerable use. Otterbox not available for this product, which is weak and vulnerable to cracking.

I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE MY SAMSUNG TABLET WITH ANDROID OS 2.3 WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MANY APPS AND WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL CITI BANK MOBILE APP ON KOBO IT AGAIN IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH KOBO IN SPITE OF MUCH NEWER OS 4.0... FEW OTHER THINGS DID NOT WORK WELL TOO, THE START SCREEN. AS I GOT OPEN BOX ORDER I DON'T KNOW THE REAL CONDITION OF IT... I'LL PUT SOME MORE TIME TIME TO EXPLORE IT...
Kobo is a scam artist company! This breaks eventually!

Summary: Kobo sells junk and knows it. This will freeze up and become unusable either due to software issues or hardware issues like defective batteries. Good luck getting Kobo to do anything for you either. Their customer service is abysmal and is only out to get out of any responsibility for their junk. For the price of this item get a high end android tablet that does way more and won't break down in 3 months!
Summary: Build quality is awful. Bought for my daughter based on reviews by tech sites but after a few weeks it just stopped working and would not power on. Still waiting for it to be repaired under warranty but no sign of it yet.Also had to pay £8.45 to insure it in transit when sending it back under warranty. Bought a cheaper Asus memo so we were not without something to use and found it to be ten times better for nearly half the price.
Summary: I don't recommend this item. I bought one for my eldest as a Christmas present (2013). It has good points - ably listed by others who have given it 5 stars or slightly less. Sean found his 64gb model was fast enough with no serious screen delay. While it worked it was very good. I was impressed and was thinking of getting myself one. Less than three months down the line the USB port has come loose. So now it can't be charged up.
Summary: at first I was very happy with the purchase of the kobo arc. then after downloading some apps and books it began to slow down, internet connectivity is spotty always disconnecting when I use no matter signal strength, battery doesn't last nearly as long as advertised, then after less then a month it would not charge properly.
Summary: I have been disappointed in my kobo. I have had one unit replaced, and, initially the new unit was good. But, within two weeks I began having problems with an unresponsive screen, or a screen that virtually did what it wanted not what I asked it to. This occurred occasionally on my first unit, but not as bad. FS has been great in helping with replacement, but a unit should not consistently have this trouble.
Summary: All the reviews about the Kobo Arc are spot on. In general it's great. I've only had the Kobo for four months and had only one complaint and that was the charge. I could charge it all night and it would last about four to five hours. The usb port where you charge the Kobo Arc fell into the Kobo Arc resulting in the Kobo Arc being useless! I am now in the process in dealing with Kobo to sort this problem out. For now it's been a total nightmare.
Summary: Pessima valutazione purtroppo dei prodotti Kobo Arc e Mondadori. Acquistato a gennaio 2013 (199 euro adesso costa 99) dopo pochi mesi lo schermo si è incrinato e l’amara sorpresa è stata la totale inesistenza della assistenza tecnica Mondadori dove era stato acquistato. Non hanno in realtà un settore tecnico adeguato per supportare i clienti. Oltre a non aver vista riconosciuta la garanzia non sono riusciti neanche a farmi un preventivo per la riparazione.
