Kobo Arc 7 HD Review

Good E-Book Readers
27 October 2013
  • Conclusion: The Kobo Arc 7 on a hardware level is very solid. It gives you tremendous resolution and a quad-core processor. It is the best 7 inch tablet they have ever done and you can see lots of polish. The weak points is the lack of a magazine store, even though it says it has access to one right out of the box. I also don’t like their Android store experience, it feels clunky and unwieldy. It is hard to find categories and browse their selection.
  • Pros: UI is Amazing, Solid Collection Management, Pocket integration, Fast and Robust, Reading Mode eliminates distractions
  • Cons: No Magazines yet, If you have lots of multimedia videos in your collection, and weak WIFI, it will crash your collection, Store is not intuitive, Rear facing speaker muffles the sound

Hands On Review of the Kobo Arc 7 HD

Good E-Book Readers
31 August 2013
  • Conclusion: The Kobo Arc 7 HD redefines what a 7 inch tablet can bring to the table. This device will certainly have the power to play any game or app you can throw at it, but this is focused on reading. Kobo has done an amazing job with their kids store, magazines, readers first, reading mode and discovery. They have produced a fine piece of hardware but went to town on designing software and an overall user experience that makes sense.

Kobo Arc 7HD review

Pocket Lint
8 November 2013
  • Conclusion: READ: Tesco Hudl review Where Android devices traditionally have five screens across to host apps and widgets, the Arc 7HD has only one, with a further two given over to your Kobo Library and Kobo Collections where you can store up all those eBooks. This shouldn’t really be a problem unless you keep a lot of Widgets in view or like to split applications between discrete screens according to task or feature.
  • Pros: Inexpensive, attractive reading environment, decent HD screen, Android implementation open to all competitors' apps, pocket integration, Collections bookmarking
  • Cons: Kindle Fire HDX is more powerful on paper, no 3G/4G option limits on-the-go use somewhat, rear-facing speaker underwhelming

31 May 2014
  • Excerpt: Lange tijd leek om en nabij de 10 inch hét schermformaat voor een tablet. Inmiddels is er een ware stortvloed aan kleinere exemplaren op de markt gebracht. Wij zochten uit welke de beste is.

Review: Kobo Arc 7HD

10 May 2014
  • Pros: Aantrekkelijke prijs, Goede bouwkwaliteit, Prima prestaties
  • Cons: Matige helderheid en veel reflecties, Geen microSD-kaartlezer, Zware Kobo-skin
