Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Review
1 February 2014
Summary: Overall, the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link with its aluminum back plate and superb speakers performed pretty well as a mid-range tablet. However, with a Php16,990 price tag, it will be a tough sell.
Summary: Linked. The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link not only enables connecting via Wi-Fi but also via mobile internet. Besides that, it belongs to the more affordable 10-inch tablets. Does this inevitably mean that compromises have to be made or can the MediaPad 10 Link also cater for demanding users?
Pros: Bright screen..., ...with strong viewing angles, Well-manufactured unibody casing, Reliable touchscreen, Strong application performance, Long load battery runtime, Strong reception WWAN module, The good screen, the WWAN module and the decent application performance.
Cons: Pressure-sensitive casing, Tight and slow storage, Poor gaming suitability, Websites need a long time for loading, No GPS, High stand-by power consumption, No accessories like found in MediaPad 10 FHD, That the subjective impression doesn't lag behind the objective assessments.
Excerpt: Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD is a powerful 10.1-inch tablet which screen supports resolution of up to 1920x1200 pixels. In addition, it also packs a quad-core processor, optional 3G and 4G (LTE) connectivity, 2GB of RAM, GPS, Bluetooth, at least 8GB of built-in storage and a memory card slot.
Pros: Verizon 4G LTE network is incredibly fast, 32GB microSD card included, Integrated kickstand works in portrait and landscape
Cons: Battery life is among the worst weve ever seen, No 4G LTE power toggle option, Kickstand in landscape orientation blocks microUSB port
Conclusion: So does the MediaPad 10 FHD really add much glamor to an already crowded Android tablet market? The answer is a yes only if you’re able to look past the now aging operating system version that bundles on this tablet. The screen is truly something else, offering a great viewing experience for anyone who wants to pick this tablet up. Once Jelly Bean hits this tablet, I’m sure the MediaPad 10 FHD will be one of those tablets that’s able to easily stand out from the crowd.
Conclusion: This device is a rather nice addition to the Android tablet universe, and certainly offers up a unique option where otherwise you'd be handling either a Samsung tablet or going over to Apple for an iPad. If you're thinking about grabbing the highest quality Android tablet on the market today, I would still personally point you toward the Galaxy Note 10.1 simply due to its much more well-rounded ecosystem and matured device family.
Summary: Full HD debut. Quad-core, Full HD screen, aluminum casing, docking port for a keyboard and other features are united in the MediaPad 10. Is it a successful blend of high-tech components with a good chance of high sales figures? Or is only a weak light in the masses?
Pros: Full HD screen, Quad-core processor, Metal casing, Battery life, Build quality, Good temperature design, Huawei's balanced concept and good entry in the 10 inch category, although there is room for improvement.
Cons: Screen's mediocre brightness, Insufficient gaming performance, Too little internal memory, Moderate camera quality, No 3G module available, Regrettably, the tablet's screen lacks brightness and the quad-core could be stronger.

Excerpt: Over at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei unveiled what it boasts is the world's first quad-core tablet device: the Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD. And Pocket-lint thought that, as we were in town, we'd best go check it out.
