HTC Flyer

CNET
5 December 2011
  • Summary: The 7-inch HTC Flyer is generally slick and easy to use, but it doesn't run the tablet-optimised version of Android, so certain apps are out of bounds until a software update arrives.
  • Cons: Non-HTC apps don't suit the big screen; terrible battery life compared to competitors; doesn't run the latest version of Android.

  • Conclusion: HTC goes all out with connectivity options on the Flyer with HSPA equipped radio for the 3G version along with 802.11b/g/n wireless networking and Bluetooth 3.0 support. An internal GPS antenna is also present for location services. As with most tablets, you have front facing (1.3MP) camera as well as a camera on the back (5MP) along with the usual assortment of sensors for proximity, light, G-Sensor and a digital compass.

HTC Flyer review

IT PRO
6 June 2011
  • Excerpt: HTC's first Android tablet is not only smaller and lighter than the iPad 2, it can be used with a pressure-sensitive stylus too. The Flyer didn't soar high in Julian Prokaza's affections though - read on to find out why.

M3
26 May 2011
