The good: Intel Atom processor uses very little power

Summary: The good: Intel Atom processor uses very little power, which was the main reason I bought this computer (to run Windows 7-based weather program on my boat). The bad: Intel Atom processor makes this machine neither Windows in mainstream sense nor of course Apple iOS. It is buggy and prone to freezing up and crashing (SDBUS INTERNAL ERROR, over and over again). Have difficulty playing back videos longer than one hour.
Summary: since I bought this laptop, I have been having issues non stop. 2 months into purchase battery went bad, so I send it to HP who supposedly replaced it. Then another 2 months later same issue had to send it in again. The laptop from the beginning showed error messages and had poor performance. When I had to send it in the 2nd time I asked them to replace laptop, they said we don't do that we only can repair.
Summary: I've had it for a little more than a year and regret having purchased it. I find that even when powered off the battery can discharge to the point of having a zero charge, loosing time and date functions. HP took it back to repair but problem still exists. Periodically I now get a message that one of the batteries ( the one in base) needs to be replaced. A big disappointment from HP.
Summary: The HP Envy X2 is an overpriced, under powered, poorly built piece of junk. Video performance is absolutely miserable; good luck streaming video from Amazon with this thing. The power connector is terribly designed and broke within a few days. Eventually, I had to buy a replacement and since it has a proprietary connector, it cost $60 to replace. The wireless antenna is a joke.
Summary: I would probably say this is my dumbest purchase of all time. This "computer" is the slowest and most worthless item I own. I have had to rely on my phone to basically everything since purchasing this tablet/laptop, I am even posting this review from my phone as opposed to laptop just because it would take too long to open the internet to post anything. The only upside to this item is that it is light and looks cool.
Borderline Hoax...WTF HP? You used to be a good brand.

Summary: I have been in IT management for 25 years. I've bought a LOT of HP printers, laptops, desktops, and servers. I've always been pleased with the quality of the product, and the level of customer service. That is, until I bought this sorry excuse for a tablet notebook PC. I bought this direct from HP 11 months ago as my personal machine. It sounded great - and I confidently bought it, trusting the HP brand. What a mistake that turned out to be. I'm so disappointed!
Summary: The tablet notebook has been operating flawlessly, but the software, especially Windows 8 and 8.1 is God-awful and so is Outlook. If these are supposed to be improvements, they most certainly are not. If the intent was to be obtuse, they have certainly succeeded. The setup is nothing more than a marketer's wet dream gone global. Ads jump up at the most unexpected and inopportune times.
