    I just purchased one of these right here at Amazon. First surprise? No charger. Second surprise? The "Upgraded software" cannot be updated, i.e. PIRATED. Third surprise? The "Upgraded software" was too advanced for the unit, and knocked out most of the drivers. The seller has not written me back about my questions for 6 days now... What use is a tablet to me without a touch-screen, and with most of it's buttons disabled? No use at all. Read more

    I bought this tablet for a few reaons: it's not a tiNy screen nor a full size screen so it's a perfect size. No big laptop on my lap while lounging in bed. We were behind the times so we needed a computer at home. My son is 9 years old and in 3rd grade he has a project due bi-montly that requires you to go on the internet and do research.Th HP 1100 Tablet is much faster then the hp 1000 TAblet which IS A HUGE PLUS.     I've been in IT for almost 20 years, I have used just about everything and know them from the inside out. This one is just the right blend of power and portability. I use it when I need to console into my network equipment all over. Good battery life too. Read more

    • It is a defferent size than most computer screens but different isn't bad it just takes a bit to get used to. It's still 1024x768. Size is exactly right for portabilit...
    • Very few cons once you come to understand it. No built in CD but a big thumb drive works just as well. You have to bring it in for service to change the internal SODIM...

Features

The HP Compaq Tablet PC TC1100 features a tablet PC which is supported by Intel 1.0Ghz Pentium M processor with 512 MB main memory. It offers 10.4 inches XGA TFT display screen which provides the view to users. The graphics of the screen is supported by nVidia GeForce Go 420 graphics controller with 32 MB video memory. It features network adapters such as the 56K dial-up modem and a 10/100 NIC for high-speed wired network access. The integrated wireless LAN provides cord-free networking and Internet communications. The command control buttons which allow for one-touch access provide access to applications and utilities.   • How does it work exaclty?

    My grandfather died suddenly a few months ago leaving alot of stuff behind. We are trying to figure out what it all is and how it works. One of the things i found out is a Compaq TC1000 wireless tablet, but i still have no clue what to do with it. I tried downloading the manual from the HP website but all i can get is gibberish, can anyone point me in the right direction?
