Excerpt: I really liked it as a phone but towards the end of using it, after updating it, the phone began to crash a lot and the keyboard would type random letters. Also, it would never let me update to gingerbread so I was stuck with froyo.
Summary: if Dell had got the performance right this could have been brilliant. I prefer it over the Galaxy Note size wise- the Note is just that bit too wide to be comfortable for me. The Dell streak is narrower and easier to hold as a result.
Pros: 1) screen size, 2) screen display, 3) music quality decent with good headphones
Cons: 1) slow to start, 2) sluggish at times, 3) external speaker a bit tinny
Summary: I would gat thei again - too bad my Rogers provider in Canada does not allow me to get the dock that did not come with my model. Today they sell it with the dock - and $0.01 on a 3 year plan. Pretty good value compared to US. Also Dell Canada does nto have the dock, and Dell US would not ship to Canada. So I went to e-bay.
Pros: Nice large screen, but still fits most of my shirt pockets. Certainly gets attention from others.
Cons: Slides out of your pocket -- from 4 ft up that does damage. Get an otterbox or gelskin.
Summary: For everyone who need a small tablet phone to read books ,write notes and Browse the internet easily with the feature of using the same device as a phone too. So it is an ALL IN ONE device. BUT, You should be noticed that there are not a lot of accessories like case and covers, AND I advise you to use a Bluetooth headset or the cable headset when talking by phone just to avoid the strange look from the people around.
Summary: I was a bit anxious about the very unusual form factor. Upon receiving this device it took me less then a day to adapt. With the 2.2 update, it runs pretty smoothly. Having owned an acer liquid e, an iPhone 3GS and 4, I can definitely say that this is my favorite phone. Battery life is good, screen is very nice and the Gorilla Glass seems very resistant. The only problem is with the touch screen being unresponsive 1 out of 80 times. (simply lock and unlock to fix).
Summary: "I've had it a week.Taken a bit of getting used to but now I've a battery life extender app installed and I'm starting to use it more like a tablet than a phone I'm pleased I made the switch from my Iphone. It is hefty but managable, but if you work like I do on the move from no fixed location it's a boon. Lovely screen though don't put it in the same pocket as lighters and keys as it does scratch despite the Gorilla Glass. Overall I'm chuffed.
Summary: I had the DS since it was released...loved it from the start. However 3 months in I had to send it back cos the OS stopped working. Upto that point it would never upgrade. It began to reset itself and then finally bricked. Since O2 replaced it, I have up graded to 2.2. I now think it runs faster and is superb. It is the best thing I have bought in years. It is much quicker then the Apple Iphone 4. I have compared to several of my friends.
Pros: It does so many things well, sat nav, Sonos hand control, web browsing, email.
