Good video playback, company no longer in business
19 December 2013
Summary: Mom's was great until she broke the screen - twice. Once the glass cover, and again the actual LCD panel. Not their fault that they didn't make it out of synthetic rubies. ;) With the HDMI output and USB drive emulation, at least I could recover move her preferences and data to my computer for use on another tablet. The playback of movies was smooth at the full resolution of the screen. Dual-core(actually dual-GPU?) tablets are much faster than the old ones.
Summary: I bought this to replace another 7-inch android tablet that broke when it was sat on. That tablet had no brand name, and I had identified a few things I would improve about it if I were to replace it. I did not anticipate having to replace it when I did, but the list of requirements did enable me to narrow down my tablet choices significantly. I wanted a faster processor. At least a dual core, if not quad core. I wanted a better, higher-resolution screen.
Summary: internet is pretty fast. i found the built in browser works a lot better than chrome on this tablet. the browser supports flash. i really like the request desktop site feature, which is needed on a lot of pages. i got a bluetooth game controller wich works great. running emulators on old systems like nes and snes. netflix works, although sometimes its a little quirky. never had a problem with the wifi, solid connection anywhwere in the house.
Summary: I bought this for my 74 year old mother to use while she travels. PROs: It was very easy to set up. The link to Google Playstore allowed me to quickly download a few games, Facebook and Yahoo mail apps. It does have the ability to change the font size to larger which is great. My mother is not very techy and was apprehensive about being able to use the tablet; however, after 10 minutes, she was facebooking and emailing and had the basics down.
