Summary: I still can't figure why so many people spend upward of $400 for units that do not perform significantly better than this one?! Paid $120, added 32gb for another $20 and ended up with a fast dual core 40gb machine that so far does everything I want it to do and it does it fast and predictably. Load it with full resolution 16mb pictures, HD 1080 videos and it all works great. Do not have to reduce or compress the media at all!!! Wireless is excellent, so is the BlueTooth.
Good video playback, company no longer in business
19 December 2013
Summary: Mom's was great until she broke the screen - twice. Once the glass cover, and again the actual LCD panel. Not their fault that they didn't make it out of synthetic rubies. ;) With the HDMI output and USB drive emulation, at least I could recover move her preferences and data to my computer for use on another tablet. The playback of movies was smooth at the full resolution of the screen. Dual-core(actually dual-GPU?) tablets are much faster than the old ones.
Summary: I am not sure really how to review the product since I bought 2 of them for my children and one still has a working tablet (6 months later) and the other one didn't make it 3 months. The one that is working does ok for my 4 year old; he doesn't require top notch clarity or lots of bells & whistles. If you are looking for spectacular graphics, I wouldn't say that this one would be your best bet.
Summary: I had bought my grandsons the Tab Nero's but ended up having to return them as they stopped powering up after 2 days. Decided to pay a little more and chose this one as my husband has an older Coby model that keeps on ticking! The quality of this is so much better than the cheap plastic of the Tab Nero. This is heavier and well built. The internet is very fast and the picture is very clear.
Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS TABLET! I purchased this tablet on July 27th, 2013 and it quit working after 6 weeks of use. I tried calling and emailing Coby Electronics technical support and customer service departments, but I was shocked to find out that the company is no longer in business. Now I have a $122 paper weight!
Summary: Bought this as a cheap introduction to Android tablets and to replace a limited Kindle Fire that I had for about a week before returning it. The Coby is a decent Tablet that allows you to do most anything you would do on a computer - check e-mail, search the internet (when hooked up on wifi), read books and play games, only it allows you to do it on your hands, wherever you are! Things I love about this unit: The price!
