Summary: The seller advertised this item which at the time of my purchase, was fulfilled by Amazon as being new. Yeah, right. All seals were broken, scratches and stains were found on the screen and a sticker was on the outside of the box stating that it was returned previously due to it failing to charge. Are you serious????
Summary: If you want a good 10 inch tablet on a tight budget the Coby 1065-8 is a great choice. The Coby 7065-8 is the 7 inch version of this tablet. I have both of these tablets. The 1065-8 has slightly better performance than a Galaxy Tab 2. Everything I have tried from the Google play store runs well. Videos/YouTube work great. You can expand the storage space with micro SD card. The Kindle E-Reader app works. On the down sides there is no upgrade available for Jellybean.
Summary: Most of the reviews are about the 7-inch tablet; that's fine for general vendor quality issues, but not useful for things like battery life and accessories. The tablet has a dedicated charger instead of micro or mini USB, which is really annoying - I have to carry the clunky thing around, instead of just a cable.
Summary: They got me but never again! From the time i first got it to this day (4 months later) it constantly froze and reset itself. after ever 30 resets it deletes everything!!! The sound is terrible, the speakers would work sometimes and other time you're SOL. DO NOT BUY!!! save your money.
Summary: After having this for a couple of weeks and playing with it I noticed that when opening certain apps and trying to back out of certain apps the tablet likes to freeze and restart. Another thing is when pressing the power button it takes 2-3 seconds for the screen to turn on. I wish it was a bit faster but I can live with it. But that freezing thing is the main thing that bothers me. It runs all the games and apps just fine, but it freezes up randomly for some reason.
Summary: I am very happy with the Coby Tablet. It is my first tablet so I don't have any comparisons but for me it is perfect. I am somewhat frustrated in trying to find accessories like bluetooth keyboards, carry cases, silicone protective covers, etc but the machine itself operates great, android system and google playbook approved so all apps load & operate beautifully. I have not tried the camera's yet but looking forward to that learning curve and experience.
Summary: I seldom write reviews but this is worth it. I've had it for 3 months. The tablet boots quickly. All apps I've chosen so far work as advertised and start instantly. Switching between apps is easy. I often run 2 or 3 apps simultaneously and have noticed no sluggishness. The tablet seems sturdy enough, though I am a careful user. All in all I'd recommend it to anyone. It is Google apps certified so choice of apps is excellent.
Summary: Getting to know this technology as coming from MAC/Apple environment. It takes some getting used to but it is doing what I need when the main computer is not available or I'm on the road and need to view weather, news, email, surf, or check Etsy shop. (although that took contacting an expert. Not exactly transparent usage I thought.) Does run out of battery power really quickly after about 4 hours of constant use.
