Excerpt: I'm an apple person but my kids wanted tablets so I purchased 3 of these. They are the fraction of the cost of other tablets and do the same thing. You go on to the get jar app and download other apps to the tablet. My kids love it. You will probably have to add extra memory by buying a sd card. Which is a plug in. I wish the battery life was a bit better Not the fastest in the world.
Summary: I have had experience with other more expensive tablets and initially was frustrated using this one. I did not give up and read all the reviews and Youtube videos. One that was very helpful was "daprospecta non rooted method" on Youtube. Please watch the video very carefully and read all information underneath the video word by word.
Not the best tablet on the market, that's for sure
16 November 2011
Summary: I bought this tablet purely because of the price, but honestly it isn't worth half of what its advertised for. The main problem, and honestly the only problem worth mentioning, is the resistive touch screen. Because you actually have to physically push down on the screen for it to work, you end up using your finger nail instead of your finger tip. This gets old really quick, especially if you've used higher-end tablets before.
Summary: This tablet is especially good for reading, as you can easily download and install Kindle and Nook readers in full color. Access Kindle store and Amazon app store directly. I also like a little free chess app from UK that enables one to play against a built in opponent and thus learn more about playing the game. The only drawback to the tablet is unusual sensitivity. The Kyros will jump around open apps if you move it suddenly. In the reader mode, it is fairly stable.
Summary: I have had my coby kyros for a week now and I really love it! With a little research I have g mail, android market, google talk, google maps, adobe flash 10..3, netflix, skype, kindle, auditable e book reader, and many more. All of the applications are working wonderfully! This tablet has many capability and it seems the more you know, the more it does. My tablet is not rooted nor did it have to be to get the above services working.
Summary: I've just bought this tablet. Battery life is about 1,5 hours, even if tablet is in stand by status. I sent two emails to Coby USA reporting this problem, but I have no answer. Bad feature: does not have a microphone.
Summary: I brought this tablet before a month I will list down pros and cons of it. Pros, * Good speed - Can run applications without freezing * Android 2.2 tablet for reasonable price * Excellent for movies - High resolution display for movies Cons * Lack of support from Coby - to resolve few issues I sent emails to Coby but they are not replying * There is not recovery image find in the internet - for most of the other tablets you can find this * Battery is not 100% charging...
Summary: I bought my Kyros 7024 as a replacement for my Palm TX. When I first received the unit I was disappointed and thought it limited compared to the TX, but after working with it, and adding a few critical apps, all I can say is Wow! This is one fine piece of tech. As a semi-retired pastor with memory problems due to Post-Polio issues I needed a good PDA that would sync with Outlook and doc manager compatible with Office.
Summary: I bought this product primarily as an e-reader, but it is useful for more. It can check e-mail, take notes for college classes, and of course play Angry Birds-which is much easier on the bigger screen than on a phone. At first I was disapointed in the battery life, but after charging about a dozen times, it is up to five hours of use, which is acceptable. Lowering the screen brightness helps the battery last longer; so does turning off wi-fi when it is not in use.
