Summary: I have the 16gb I purchased one of the refurbs It goes online with no problems The usb does not work at all it will act like it's trying to connect but then it disconnects for some odd reason So it seems that the only thing that I can do is get online to check my emails and maybe a few other online things but that seems to be about it as for the HDMI I didn't even want to try that out of being afraid of another disappointment

Excerpt: Both my husband and my son own this tablet, and so, though I don't use them much personally myself, I thought that qualified me to write a review. ---Why we chose the blackberry playbook--- Both of our tablets were purchased in 2012, with my 20 year old son making the initial choice.
I though it will be as good as other RIM products which I use - Never again

Summary: I bought BB Playboook cause it can integrate with my BB phone directly so no need to worry about security and other stuff. It was cheap - GBP 109 - so deal looks very good and promising. But when it arrived the promised land disappeared in the mist - the battery was faulty so the unit was loosing power suddenly and unexpectedly - even when battery indicator was showing 94% full (!). And so I ask for replacement.
Summary: For the money, a Blackberry gives you a well made tablet with up to 64 GB of memory, true multitasking and a great screen. However, the app store is shockingly limited and side loading Android apps, leaves them very buggy. There is no native Skype app, and side loading an Android version didn't work for me. Sharing files over a cable with a PC is very hit and miss, and so the large capacity looses its usefulness.
