Summary: I have the 16gb PlayBook and really recommend it, I will probably buy the 64gb PlayBook soon. I have quite a long commute to work (4hr 30min each day) and I find this tablet so useful. I use the Docs2Go software that Blackberry included for free and find this so useful for editing Microsoft Word documents during my commute, at home and at work. Due to its small size I use it to take minutes in meetings which works very well.
Summary: Blackberry have just announced they will not be updating the Playbook to the latest version of their operating system, that would probably have put me off buying, but having used it for a while I'm mostly happy with it as it is. Though I paid less than £100 for mine 2nd hand. Hardware wise it feels well-made, though it's a bit thicker than more recent tablets. Only quibble on the hardware is that power button is annoyingly small and difficult to push.
Lovely piece of kit, but far too many issues with apps.

Summary: Pros - well built and sturdy, decent built in browser. good audio for a small tablet, plenty of built in storage, very acceptable screen resolution, wifi connects easily, OK cameras, fair price. Cons - very few decent apps and most of those are way too expensive, android apps have to be sideloaded - fiddly and time consuming, RIM constantly promising upgrade to BB10 at some point in the future but it never seems to happen and now never will(see next paragraph).
Summary: as older people not up to new technology, we find this easy to use, and love it we take it everywhere, fits nicely in wife's handbag. takes lovely photos, have video called a friend with same blackberry playbook, logs on to Wi-Fi and we are Facebook users. brill for our e mails while we are abroad.
Summary: I bought the PlayBook full price, while I was listening to how bad this tablet was by people doing podcasts, I kept on using this tablet to do everything a computer could do, reading my emails, looking at cute videos on YouTube or storing my entire library of music, photos and books, or spending hours surfing the Web, and even being able to listen to these podcasts all from my PlayBook.
