Summary: I was looking for a light tablet/laptop replacement for weekend trips. The VivoTab seemed perfect. I especially liked the combination of small footprint/long battery life/Office included. The laptop feels good and sturdy - all plastic, but solid.
Summary: This tablet has been nothing but a disappointment. It turns off whenever it goes into sleep mode, which requires a restart every time. Neither Microsoft or Asus had any helpful information about solving this troublesome issue.

Summary: The hardware alone may be worth 3 stars, but the operating system RT is terrible. It became tolerable when I upgraded to Windows RT 8.1, but it is still bad. I bought this to replace my XT-based netbook (which is still working), but I don't use it unless I have to (I also own an iPad Mini 2).
Let ASUS introduce you to the problem of Phantom Touch.

Summary: It's a nice tablet. Works well, runs smooth, and if you get it the keyboard is great. And then you learn about phantom or ghost touch. A fair number of these develop a problem where the touch screen starts permanently registering a touch even when none is made.
Summary: The hardware on this tablet is top of the line for any tablet I have ever encountered. It's thin and light weight, the screen is durable and reactive, and the battery never seems to die. That being said, I would not recommend buying this tablet.
