Excerpt: For Under $[$]this convertible laptop is a great buy. BUT upgrading it to Windows 10 made it EVEN BETTER. The interface is MUCH cleaner - and it runs snappy for everyday tasks. Those annoying Tiles actually are cool once they are sized down in Win10. The entire OS feels polished.
Summary: I got this notebook for Xmas 2013. I hardly used it though until recently. It probably has only about 50 hours on the chassis at the most. Now it refuses to boot to Windows (Windows 8.1). All I get is a blue ASUS screen of death; my understanding part of their BIOS setup routine.
Summary: What windows? xubuntu 14.10 loaded immediately upon unpacking. Great machine. Runs absolutely EVERYTHING ... linux apps, windows apps (under wine or playonlinux), android apps too (under genymotion), even steam games. Of course, faster startup / shutdown than windows plus no virus scanners needed.
Great hardware. No OS. This is twice ASUS has done this to me.

Summary: Excellent hardware platform. Highly flexible and usable. This is the second ASUS brand computer which has come without a valid operating system. Both units were supposed to ship with Windows 8.1 Pro.

Summary: I love the device as much as I can considering it came with windows 8, and the OS has a glitch preventing me from installing 8.1. I am hoping when Windows 10 comes out, it won't suck and I can just upgrade over to that. But the tablet itself is good.

Summary: I love this model. Its awesome, Give me a few more days, and I'll re-review this laptop. I had a i5 model, this model is the i7 processor, and 8GB of memory. 256GB storage, and it totally worth it. As a refurbished model, it came nearly brand new.
