Summary: nobody seemed interested in helping me fix the tablet and it was already out of warranty when I took it to the vendor. I am trying to 'fix' it myself via its website. What I want is another tablet to the same value from ASUS. Since I am 70 years old my kids think I am thick sometimes. Need to do this fixing up myself. Can anybody help?
Pros: I like its size for reading and its unfussy display
Cons: This product fell over during my first 2 months of avid reading
paid over $20.00 to find out the tablet did not work...
Angela Rich, Amazon
Summary: I paid to have it shipped to me. when recieved it would not hook into my wifi or even conect into a hard wire, when i started this process I had already fully charged the device, the process of failing to have the device connect took about 20 min before it died. Charged it again to try again to get it to connect just to have both failures. Then to return it, it cost me another $15.00. All in all I paid over $20.00 to find out the tablet did not work...
Works Great, Compatible With Square Register and Reader
6 November 2014
Summary: I bought mine used for $90 here on Amazon because the off-brand tablet I use is not compatible with the Square Register. This worked straight out of the box and immediately recognized all the available Wi-Fi connections. As soon as I plugged in the Square Reader, it recognized it immediately, and off to the races we went. Don't waste your money on expensive brand-name items. This works fine and is a relative bargain compared to the competition.
Summary: Tablet stopped working after very, very mild use. I had it for 9 months, but i have a Kindle Fire and a Galaxy Tab, so i didnt use it that often. The battery died without warning, and its not accepting further charges. Tried charging with lower amp chargers, through usb ports...nothing. I understand batteries have limited charge cycles, but 9 months with proper use is ridiculous.
Summary: This tablet was purchased for my 12 year old grandson, who had a different brand and cheaper tablet that only lasted a year. His brother had the same "other" tablet and his lasted for much less time, as did the replacement same "other" tablet. So we decided on this ASUS instead and so far, so good. It is also a much better tablet than what he previously had and he is quite pleased with it.
