A useful tool

  • Excerpt: This is a work tool; I design &amp; manufacture tooling and machine for industry. My primary uses are math programs and an office suite; other useful apps are email, camera and maps. It works great for this purpose and I am very happy with its performance.<br />It comes with a lot of useless stuff on it that can't be uninstalled. A large percentage of the preinstalled apps are geared towards social media and just playing around and waiting time, you know kids stuff.
  • Pros: Compact Design, Easy To Use, Fast, Good Compatibility, Long Battery Life
  • Cons: Poor Software Bundle

Had high hopes based on specs but hope wont make it work!

  • Summary: Had high hopes based on specs and bought pad "very slightly used and fully functional" but ran into problems immediately. The digitizer had huge sensitivity issues with input especially at the bottom half of the screen. Nearly a full quarter of the screen was un-responsive to touch input. The micro SD card would mount and un-mount randomly for no apparent reason.

All-in-all a good buy and good value.

  • Summary: I had researched the other tablets before buying the ASUS MeMo HD 7. The most important reason this one was the one I bought was that it had a SD card slot for expansion. The other comparable 7 inch tablets don't seem to think an expansion option is important. Price is the second consideration. And than battery life. The screen resolution is quite adequate for my purposes, even if the "other guys" claim a higher pixel count.

Great Tablet for Nikon WMU Shooting

Chuck, B&H Photo
27 May 2014
  • Excerpt: All usual tablet software and functionality are included and work flawlessly. It's my dedicated tablet for use with the Nikon WMU. As such, it downloads and applies the WMU app. with no stalls or issues, but be advised that the WMU offers differing features with differing cameras! This fault is on Nikon, not Asus. For example, with the WMU, the P7800 shoots in Target Finding autofocus only and will not allow specific area focus.
  • Pros: Adequate Storage, Compact Design, Easy To Use, Fast, Good Compatibility, Great Software Bundle, Long Battery Life

The Asus MeMO Pad 7. A fine product for folks who don't abuse their toys..

  • Summary: The Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 inch (~18cm) tablet is a fine little tablet that uses the Android Operating System. It is not the fastest running tablet, but the display is clear, colorful, and does not readily show fingerprints. It streams media at 720p without stuttering. I would recommend the MeMO PaD be kept away from children who are rough with hand held objects as the tablet is a bit creaky and not built to handle much abuse.
