Summary: Pretty good of a Windows tablet when paired with the Keyboard and cover/stand it can replace a laptop for most functions. I use primarily for travel communications , e-reader and photo editing/archiving (It runs Adobe Photoshop OK)
Summary: Great product for the refurb price. Once setup with win8.1 it works great, fast. Screen, cameras, sound are of high quality, back is made of a rubbery plastic so it provides great grip. Be careful when upgrading, start in desktop mode with live update, update BIOS then reboot.
Pros: It's a PC Nice screen Good sound Fast enough
Cons: Not loud enough Need high level of tech expertise to setup

Summary: Asus VivoTab Smart ME400C Black 64GB 10.1 inch Bargain Full Windows Tablet Thats Worth It This is a very good bargain full windows 8.1 tablet. I got a refurbished unit for a very very very good price.
Summary: Just some comments on upgrading to 8.1. It's been posted and I too have had problems with upgrading the tablet to 8.1. I had the 112 updates that failed and sent the tablet into a forever "recover" loop.
Summary: BUY a micro usb to usb converter hub. You will absolutely need it eventually. Really loving this tablet so far. Since I got it refurbished it didn't come with anything extra. You dont have to get the asus cover, you can get something else.
Pros: Obviously the full version of the windows os is great. I thought it was going to be cheap back cover. Its not, its pretty solid. The finish on the back is the same that asus typically uses on the back of the laptop screens. Like a rubberized hard back cover.
Cons: When i did my first update It failed and took forever to get out of the "failed configuration reverting changes" It took about an hour, but i thought it was bugged and reset it like 3 times that was my fault. I should have just waited, but do know that changes take like an hour to revert changes ...
Summary: After having this tablet for 32 days, the screen developed a line from just left of the camera to just left of the windows icon. The support team did a great job of repairing it and getting it back to me in just over a week, and it was covered under my warranty.
Summary: When unboxing the unit, expect the battery to be dead, and that unit to not turn on. This freaked me out initially. It won't turn on until the battery gets to AT LEAST 10% charge, at which point, as noted above, it will start to drain even if charging.
Pros: Really inexpensive for that one day I bought it ($170 after rebate!), and well worth the money. Refurb unit looks new, great screen, good balance, feels right. I was concerned about limited processing power and memory, but so far so good. Takes external microSD card up to 64GB for additional stor...
Cons: REALLY poorly designed charging and power system. Battery will not charge (and actually DRAINS) when unit is on and charger is connected. Who thought that was a good idea? This is when hooked to a 2.5 amp power source. And when the battery is low enough that the unit won't turn on, an external po...
