Summary: I'm giving only one star to ASUS the company and not necessarily the tablet. The headphone port quit working and I sent it in for repair while there was still over a month left on the warranty. After they failed twice to make a viable repair I returned it again, with two weeks remaining on the warranty. Even the customer service agent agreed it was time to replace the tablet since they had failed twice to make repairs and noted the recommendation in his report.
Summary: This product was very satisfactory for the first 4-5 months, but then started giving us problems. The tablet would shut down randomly on its own while in use. We had a number of interactions with customer service. The technicians recommended a factory reset, so we did - didn't solve the problem. Contacted ASUS support again and this time they recommended a data wipe which also didn't work.
Dont buy it is bad product. I waste my money and dissapointed in Asus brand.

Summary: Don't reccomend this tablet. Screen cracked by itself. I searched on the web - there are a lot of similiar cases. It is design defect. Warranty doesn't cover this and repair cost close to tablet price. So I waste my money and dissapointed in Asus brand. UPDATE: I decided to give this tablet a second chance after ftst tablet screen screen crack. I liked the sound if this memopad, it is really good. So I ordered new tablet in january.
Excerpt: Given this was my first tablet purchase, I read quite a number of reviews on Amazon and on a few other sites before purchasing. It started off great. I was very impressed with tablet. Great speakers and great touch response. I probably used my tablet a bit more in the first three months, but eventually moved to occasionally using it for apps like Netflix, Pandora and a couple of word games. I would describe myself as a fairly light user.
Summary: Overall, this is a good mid-sized tablet. However, there are a number of issues for me that I do find somewhat frustrating. 1. Still not used to the Android OS. Only info provided with the unit essentially tells you two things: how to turn it on and how to charge it. A comprehensive manual is available on-line. It is a must-have to fully understand the features of this unit. 2. Battery life so far has been a disappointment. Getting maybe half the battery life.
Summary: Very responsive, good battery life, with 2gb ram it keeps me with plenty of memory to do what I want to do. Picture is great. Ireally like this tablet a lot - and I‘ve had several. I think this one will last me for a good while. I have definitely gotten my moneys worth!
Summary: Got the 32gb version on Black Friday 2013 for $300. The 16gb version was $250. The display (1920x1200) is really impressive. Loved everything about this tablet. Well, for about 10 months. All of a sudden, nothing worked after turning it on. Even with several hard re-sets, couldn't get it to work right. Called Asus support and have no problems with them. They were responsive and provided an RMA number for returning.
