Summary: Now lets talk about the sound. I have 2 year old notebook from Asus and i was like WOW that notebook is loud and sounds nice.
Pros: Updated to 4.2.1 after i turned it on. May wanna be ready to factory reset it after that i had an issue with the screen not detecting the screen after that and the factory reset did the trick. Works smmoooth and fast picks up 3g better then my phone and faster with it.
Cons: Tablet charges with one amp or more charger through the only usb mini port it has and finding a usb hub for it to fix this might cause a bit of looking up to find one.
Summary: I'm sure Newegg will eventually honor the rebate (it's from Newegg, not ASUS). It's just annoying.
Pros: I've only had it for a single day. It seems solid. Long battery life between charges, no lagging audio that you find with many low end tablets, it's light and thin like an iPad, so overall I'm quite satisfied. BUT
Cons: It came with a $15 rebate, and all I have to do is cut out the UPC and mail it in. BUT THERE IS NO UPC! All you get is a charger and the tablet in a non-descript brown box. No codes anywhere.
Excerpt: The first one I received was defective. Staples support did an excellent job on the exchange. The biggest problem is there was no instructions or paper work in the package. It took a lot of trail and error to get going. I'm still working on some of the features.
Summary: All in all a great and solid budget friendly tablet. Heck, its gone down $20 since i bought it 4 days ago! I would easily recommend this for work & play. No need spending $500 for a 10 inch tablet. Its got everything an average person would need and then some. If you want a better display, pick the 7inch nexus 7.
Summary: Received tablet with Newegg's typical quick shipping. Tablet wouldn't connect to any wifi source. Started RMA and sent it back the next day. I know you run a risk when you buy a refurb, but I would expect Asus (a respectable company) to fix the problem instead of just tossing the device into a new box and selling it again. Newegg was cool about the situation and I got another refurb that seems to work fine now. Unfortunately, it took 2 weeks - standard RMA.
Pros: Fast tablet, large screen, SD card slot, nice speakers
