Summary: It's a very powerful PC, but the battery gets worn out too fast and the replacement batteries are even worse. The stylus calibration is inaccurate and it cannot be fixed. After a couple of months of use, the touch screen will click itself in the corners, making the touchscreen useless.
Summary: The tablet is good. Powerful and large. The major issue is after 1 year the tablet won't charge. This is not a battery issue. The connection of the charging wire and the tablet is flakey. I sent back to ASUS. Customer service was poor. They sent it back after a week with nothing done.
Summary: Heavy tablet and very uncomfortable to hold and forget about typing on it. I bought wireless thumb keyboard which is nice but uncomfortable to type because you need to let tablet go when typing on thumb keyboard. You might as well go and buy a touch laptop that converts to a tablet.
Summary: We bought 50 of these for our audit staff. In less than a year, already two of them had to be sent back because the display would not go on after powering on the device. ASUS tech support was responsive, but we still had to be without the devices for a couple of weeks while they were being repaired.
Summary: The keyboard quit working after a week and I found out 2 other friends have had the same problem. Changed the battery and still not able to use the keyboard. If any has a fix for this, please help! Otherwise I have to buy a different keyboard.
Summary: More about the keyboard UI: Depending on where you are entering text, you will get a different keyboard UI. Usually this keyboard does not give you any feedback about when a key is successfully pressed so you have to keep checking back to where the text is appearing to make sure your key press was...
Pros: Good performance, nice display. I haven't had this tablet long enough to put it through its paces, but so far it seems to perform well for my needs.
Cons: This tablet loses one start for build quality and one star for the touch interface. The overall build looks ok, but ASUS needs to put more thought and design into the various buttons, connectors and the stylus dock. The two USB connectors are covered by little plastic covers that you have to pry ...
Summary: When installing system for first time, make sure computer is charged completely. If not, system may lockup and go into a non recoverable loop, and you have to reinstall via the recovery disks. About 30 to 40 minutes of your time
Pros: Tablet performs well nice screen. Good size/form factor.
Cons: Sticky on/off switch shuts down computer and have to reboot machine in standard mode loosing all data. Big nuisance when putting machine in sleep mode. Very bad design!
Summary: The lcd screen is good. But the battery is not good. When I watch TV, it is only able to maintain 2 hours. It is too short to me. And the windows 7 system ocuppies too many disk space. The total flash space is 32 G. There is only 9 G disk space left to use.
Pros: There are so many things I love about this device: * The display * The speed * The battery life (when taking the processor into consideration) * Includes keyboard (even if the quality is somewhat sketchy). * The hard drive speed. However, in the event you need support it's going to be an unpleasa...
Cons: I'll be frank; I used to be a ASUS fanboy, but I think this may be my last ASUS product because their quality and support has really declined... I've only had my system 2 months, and now my AC Adapter stopped working (no power led on the AC brick). It wasn't dropped, no storms, etc. It just stopp...
