Summary: Just loaded the Android Honeycomb 3.1 update which really enhanced the feel of the OS, much more fluid overall. This thing is great as a laptop replacement if you are not writing long documents. Get a case.
Pros: Doesn't feel like a slab O' metal when you hold it No Itunes (yea!) Fast and smooth Plays all common video formats Great IPS Screen Memory expandability via microSD card Great Battery - easily lasts for a day of usage Android updates are already available
Cons: Would rather have a full size SD slot App store does not have the same selection as Apple's
Summary: - Good battery life but not the best In my opinion, it is the best and most functional tablet out right now. Don't listen to people when they give this device a low rating because of OS problems. Honeycomb is a new OS and you can expect bugs.
Pros: Here are the main reasons I bought this tablet. 1) Price vs competitors. 2) IPS and LED touchscreen, only the Ipad2 has this so far and viewing angles are great. 3) Screen is bigger than Ipad. 4) I prefer Android Honeycomb over the IPads OS. 5) Optional keyboard attachment to use it as a laptop. ...
Cons: - No USB port unless you buy the keyboard attachment. - No 3D? Not really a con though, one of the other tablets has it, I think the new galaxy.
Summary: I would have given this tablet 5 stars if it wasn't for the cons. Please note that if this is intended for someone with little or no computer knowledge they might be better off with an iPad or eReader (Nook, Kindle, etc.).
Pros: Asus support. Android 3.1 with current update. IPS panel viewable from extreme angles with beautiful color. MicroSD slot to expand memory an additional 32Gb max. HDMI out. Keyboard/dock accessory. Gorilla glass.
Cons: Weight, it is heavier than iPad2 and soon to be released Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1. Sharp edges around tablet from metal frame. Tegra 2 since it still has trouble with anything using high profile video encoding. Screen is too glossy.
Summary: I didn't really want the 32g version, because of all of the extra SD space, but it was only about $50 over the 16g at *estbuy when you add in the extra shipping cost and sales tax and I'd much rather order from newegg than *estbuy
Pros: Its ASUS the most options you can get on a tablet just got the 3.1 upgrade (6/1/2011 9 pm) Don't take my word for it, spend a little time watching all the Transformer vs ipad 2 video's on youtube
Cons: Still can't find a dock to buy people like the guy that gave this a 1 star rating, some people shouldn't be allowed to post Is it just me or is UPS starting to suck as bad as the USPS?
Summary: This device is a great replacement for my laptop, much more versitile and mobile than a laptop. Great for airplane use. 32 GB model gives you plenty of space and when you add a 16 GB HCSD you can have all you want on the tablet.
Pros: Great battery life. This is a replacement for a laptop, where most use is web browsing , email, music, videos, viewing pictures, and remote access of my desktop. This replacement blows my old laptop away in battery life. I replaced my laptop HD with a SSD, and the eeepad will last me two full day...
Cons: Cons are all software based, which is google's issues, which I believe will be fixed with updates over time. Many forced closed Email app lacks features Few tablet apps created HW cons: none
Pros: Worked well for 6 days, good WiFi, nice touch screen interesting apps
Cons: On the 6th day it showed "please wait..." instead of the home screen, 5 hours later it was back at the home screen but the touch screen was not responding. Called ASUS tech support and they had me reset, did not work had to RMA back to newegg.
Summary: Alright, I've had my tablet for about five days and I've used it extensively in that time. With the recent demise of my laptop (primary computer) I've done all of my computer related tasks on the Transformer with the exception of my school work which is just too much for a small touch screen.
Summary: Well after having this for two days and not really sleeping last night at all I have made it over the learning curve and am now flying with this device. I use it for my school and it works very well. I can use the interactive flash websites and post responses and complete projects.
Pros: Awesome battery. I charged it fully last night and have been on it non-stop for three hours with the brightness at 50% and the battery is at 66%. I expect getting around 8.5 hours of continuous use which pretty much rules. MyCloud lets you connect to your computer using splashtop. I have used it ...
Cons: The capaticitive touch is not as responsive as my iphone4 nor the Ipad 2. I need to force close the browser once in a while because the pages get stuck loading. Codec support is really lacking but I heard VLC is working on an android app. Thats really it.
