  • Summary: This tablet responds faster than the new 699.99 dollar phone I purchased! If not it's so close you can't tell.. As I saw one reviewer before me, it's as elegant as an Ipad! Go for it!

Amazing! Except for the Speakers

Tom H., Newegg
28 July 2014
  • Summary: I bought my TF700T when it was first introduced in 2012. I have been absolutely in love with it from day one. And now, even more so because I discovered it works great as a teleprompter (with add-on app from Play Store). It even runs Netflix during primetime with no pauses or glitches.
  • Pros: Fast, dependable, beautiful resolution, runs Netflix better than my blue ray player,
  • Cons: Speakers are extremely weak, however, using external speakers or headphones the sound is spectacular!!!

Works as advertised

Mark R., Newegg

  • Pros: Additional slot for SD card is a much-needed feature for me. It almost goes without saying that the dock's battery is another key feature that most people should agree is a benefit. The included shortcut keys are handy, though I don't use them often.
  • Cons: The mouse pad is VERY sensitive, causing the cursor to jump around when my thumbs get too close to the pad. Although there is a button to disable the mouse pad, it is quite annoying to have to constantly toggle the switch when composing large messages. It IS that bad.

woohooo nice!

  • Summary: Nice tablet! very high quality feel and look. The first thing you have to do is unlock it (go to ASUS website), root it and put Cromi-x OS on it. The ASUS OS is bloated and kinda slow but Cromi-x fixes ya right up! Don't do an update on it or you can't root it.

Wow!

Royce V., Newegg
4 October 2013
  • Summary: Looking at reviews I was a little leery of purchasing. Once I had the device ready and locked my tablet into place I was amazed. There is no comparison between this and a generic bluetooth keyboard. This device extends the batter life of the tablet and gives the the functionality of a laptop.
  • Pros: Tablet locks in very easily and is very solid. Additional SD slot and full size USB really expand amount of memory you can use. Additional battery life. Uses same charging cord as tablet. Turn your tablet into a mini ultrabook. Trackpad is nice for when you don't want to touch the screen.
  • Cons: initial 8 hour charging time, Unbalanced in lap, additional weight

  • Summary: i read about all the problems people have with not charging the pad when connected to the dock, dock not being recognized by pad, etc., i have had no problems what so ever.
  • Pros: extra battery life, east conversion to netbook like device, extra connectivity, etc,
  • Cons: even though i believe i got an infinity dock and not a rebadged prime dock it detaches a little too easily.

User Review

Joe W., Newegg
11 September 2013
  • Summary: I almost bought this when I picked up the tablet. Now that I have it, I sure wish I had. With the track pad it's better than a simple add on keyboard. ASUS did a nice job incorporating pleanty of shortcut keys that round out functonality.
  • Pros: A keyboard and ample shortcuts to popular features.
  • Cons: Something else for me to break.

Nice option for the TF700

Patrick G., Newegg
25 June 2013
  • Summary: If you are careful in mounting it, the screen protector won't wrinkle. I tip it in from the front. You have to push down to get the full mount and "click"
  • Pros: Real keyboard for times when there's a lot of typing or I want to see more screen Decent tactile keys Solid docking to the tablet (the button DOES click over and lock properly) Extra battery Extra ports Protection for the screen when carting it around
  • Cons: A little top heavy, but not bad at all The mount can pinch or wrinkle a screen protector
