Slow --- Updated! Works great.

John, Amazon
11 July 2013
  • Summary: This is rediculously slow. I bought it because I thought it was the most powerful tablet on the market. It takes forever to load apps. Don't buy it. Update! After ASUS left a comment about resetting the device, I did this and it immediately sped it up.

Outstanding

Steven S., Newegg
29 May 2013
  • Summary: I've had many notebook computers, but this was my second tablet after a budget first 7". My Apple using friends are amazed by the video when I run an MP4 1080P on it like Hobbit. But you have to run high resolution videos use the internal memory with the right video software--use MX, it doesn't lag...
  • Pros: * Display is clear and bright-even outside true 1080P * Battery life is as advertised, great with additional dock * Video performance rocks! * Very thin and compact-but solid * HDMI interface
  • Cons: * No delete button on the dock/keyboard? * Slow data transfer via cable interface * Slow boot-up

better deal than ipad

KEVIN M., Newegg
22 May 2013
  • Summary: far better bang for your buck than an ipad or galaxy, especially when the keyboard attachment that can extend your battery life (which is only available via bluetooth on the competition) ..
  • Pros: responsive. user friendly. good battery. I use it mostly for playing videos and reading. Just took it on a 2 week trip to europe and it worked great! As long as you have wifi, you can run your life on this thing. File structuring interface is great. You have the freedom to create / move / rename ...
  • Cons: occasionally freezes, but not often (like windows 95 did .. Android will correct it with time) doesn't come with a micro hdmi cable .. srsly who has a micro one laying around?!?! Android is slowly but surely improving. You're going to have to download multiple apps to get this thing to do what yo...

Gibson H., Newegg
23 April 2013
  • Summary: Even with its flaws I would pick this tablet over any of its competitors any day.
  • Pros: I use this tablet for everything, from watching HD video, streaming music from Google's cloud, playing games and streaming my desktops. The 1.6 GHZ Tegra 3 does everything I need it to do and more, it's gaming performance is the best that I have seen on a tablet. The 1920x1200 IPS screen displays...
  • Cons: Mine doesn't seem to run as smooth as it should and restarts randomly, not sure exactly why as this is my first android device so I'm still figuring everything out, maybe I got a dud. It's not really a big deal though. The proprietary charging port is kind of lame, I don't mind it all that much b...

Outstanding Device

Anonymous, Newegg
8 April 2013
  • Summary: Overall, the tablet is wonderful to use and fun, especially having the keyboard as well as it makes even more useful for work and play. Highly recommended to anyone who's looking for entertainment and usability.
  • Pros: Pros: *Great screen resolution 1080p *Can read outdoor during bright sunlight thanks to IPS+ mode *It has its own keyboard dock (sold separately) which can turn the tablet into a laptop and the keyboard also has a built in battery for additional usage of 4+ hours *Useful bloatwares especially the...
  • Cons: Cons *Beware of screen flickering due to software issues (unresolved from ASUS) *Battery quickly drains when playing heavily graphic games and heats up quickly (it's expected) *Stock and Chrome browsers seems to be sluggish when opening heavily graphic websites like CNET.com. Highly recommended i...

Nearly Perfect

6 April 2013
  • Summary: This item replace my 3-year-old Motorola Xoom and I've had it for about a week now. Let's start with the bad: 1. There is no message notification light. I sort of got used to seeing the light blink when I had an email. Not a big deal but something worth mentioning. 2.

Awesome tablet and even better with docking keyboard

Charles L., Newegg
30 March 2013
  • Summary: I have ordered a replacement. This tablet is too awesome to not get another. I feel a little bit like Im taking a risk though with the fragile screen, and will look into a protective case, or a replacement plan.
  • Pros: I have owned a Motorola 10.1'' XOOM tablet for more than a year and I use it alot to read, websurf, and watch streams. I decided to upgrade my hardware since I spend so many hours using it, and plus tablets have gotten about a half-pound lighter this year. I decided on this ASUS tranformer infini...
  • Cons: The corning gorilla glass screen cracked in my first 3 weeks of ownership and is still covered under refund policy. My XOOM has been dropped more than once over the past 15 months and never broke. This ASUS tablet didnt drop and somehow broke. I think some text books were on top of it while it wa...

Does what it says

CJ M., Newegg
27 March 2013
  • Summary: Asus is quite slow to update the firmware and thast really disappointing. Within like a month of the release of Jb there were custom roms for the tf700t but asus took like a year...
  • Pros: Tegra 3 CPU does a good job. I never have to worry about the battery dying it still holds a charge all day (used fir over a year now). with the dock it goes for days. If you ever want to try it ubuntu runs great on the TF700T. It is also very thin and light weight.
  • Cons: Volume buttons are cheap plastic and don't always respond well. My biggest complaint is that on the dock the locking tabs that hold the tablet in broke one day and now it doesn't lock but it still works well. Lastly what is up with the color its like a dark boring purple hardly grey. So you have ...
