TF700T is not reliable
29 June 2014
Excerpt: I bought it in sep 2012. The reason I selected this model inspite of the very hight price tag was that it has a slot for external SD card and HD screen. Also it is relatively thin and light. Supposed to be fun to use.<br />I have it for about two years now. First time it was OK. Then it started to reboot randomly without any reason for about a time or two in a week.
Pros: Adequate Storage, Compact Design, Easy To Use
Excerpt: I had and have phantom touches. Namely, unlike other tablets, my TF700 triggered on at least two apps when nobody touched the screen. This clearly seemed like a hardware problem, since the software worked properly on other tablets. I sent it in for repair. It was sent back to me saying it's OK and no call. Somehow my 64 GB chip was missing and they couldn't "find" it. I spoke with another person in the Caribbean and he gave me a FedEx mailer, but it went to Milpitas CA.
