Summary: Not a really big fan of Archos, especially after purchasing one of these tablets. Touch screen response was very slow, 4gigs of HDD drive is only enough space to download a 5 minute song,i would not recommend this product to anyone. This tablet is dated so I am not sure of how the newer versions' stand in performance.
Summary: We bought this for our boys for Christmas last year and they have used them for games and YouTube and have loved them. we have had no problems with them. We feel it was worth the money we spent.
Summary: Bought this for my seven year-old and he likes it. Some complaints: doesn't have some of the more popular apps as it uses a different app store than many other people use (I don't have a smart phone so I don't know much about this). It also has some problems with the battery, like sometimes it'll just shut off and stop working and then for no apparent reason it comes back on. But overall my son uses it often and really likes it.
Summary: I bought this tablet as a replacement for my Grandson after the tablet I had purchased in October died when I tried charging it to give to him for Christmas. The tablet was alright, but there were some things that he and I both did not like. The tablet seemed to have too much of a "European" flavor to it. The Google Play Store was accessible, but only after we found another app that let us access it as third party.
Summary: I purchased this for my son with express intent of updating to OS to Android 4.0 (from 2.3). Arctablet.com has instructions describing the process. I was successful in performing the update. I already own an older 7" model that I find easy to carry around. Both have dimensions that are a little different than most 7" tablets and E-readers; they are 4 1/4" wide. I find this easier to hold than the Nook or Kindle.
Summary: I was unsure if this was even going to be worth the $90 I paid..but it is worth it. It was a gift for my two kids and they are younger so I didn't want something so expensive I would be upset if they didn't use it. Basically it's good and worth the $90 or so dollars I paid. Nice screen, a little slow, apps are ok, they have some of the popular ones, some free ones and a few free ones that don't work or crash. I would say if you want a inexpensive tablet, you got it.
