Summary: Great device. Does have limitations, but, if you need a small Windows device, this works well. I purchased second hand and called the company for a recovery disc. The tech support guy had my information and promised to send it in the mail. Seemed like good support.
Summary: The Archos hardware is absolute junk. I returned 4 (YES 4) of these to the manufacturer and I had issues with all 4 (2 had the same issue, the other 2 had other issues)....predominantly display problems. The resistive touch screen is ok, for a resistive...but I would avoid this tablet at all costs!
Summary: With only a single USB connection and no SD card slot or video output, the Archos 9 isn't very port-friendly. We would have especially liked to see an SD card reader, which would make this a potentially useful tool for on-the-go photographers. Some additional connections, including two extra USB ports and an Ethernet connection, are available via an Archos port replicator. We thought we'd seen some slow Netbooks before, but nothing quite like the Archos 9.
THEY ARE A BIT SLOW, BUT ARE LIGHT ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO TAKE THEM ANY WHERE

Summary: I REALLY LIKE THE SIZE OF THE ARCHOS 9 TABLET PC. iT COULD USE A BIT MORE STORAGE ON THE MAIN DISK. THE SCREEN IS VERY CLEAR, AND IS EASY ON THE EYES. AS MOST SMALL TABLETS, IT COULD USE BETTER SPEAKERS, BUT THE SOUND PRODUCING CAPABILITIES ARE QUITE GOOD. IT IS REALLY QUITE EASY TO USE AS A PC, AND CAN HANDLE MORE THAN ONE PROJECT AT A TIME I HAVEN'T REALLY USED IT A LOT, BECAUSE OF MY BUSY SCHEDULE.
Summary: ITS NATURALLY HEAVY BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS A HAND HELD DEVICE AND ITS NOT BUT IT WAS WORTH MY MONEY I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO A COMPUTER GEEK ONLY.... MOST PEOPLE WOULD PREFER A ANDROID TABLET.
Excerpt: Linux Mint is a Linux distribution that is based on Ubuntu. It is a great system for a person that wants to learn Linux to start on. It also is good for the power-user because it has tons a features and flexibility.
Summary: Holy Yuck. We are very disappointed with this tablet. We bought it to do light surfing and watch video...it does neither well. It is slow, the interface is clunky and if it had been bought locally it would have gotten returned as junk. Immagine the framerate of the old silent movies...now add sound. Ta Da... The Archos 9!
Excerpt: Linux Mint was my first foray into the world of Linux and I could not be happier. I use it on my work netbook and it is great. It boots quickly and can detect both wired and wireless networks quickly. I haven't played around much with the architecture but it is very easy to download and...
