Summary: Great device. Does have limitations, but, if you need a small Windows device, this works well. I purchased second hand and called the company for a recovery disc. The tech support guy had my information and promised to send it in the mail. Seemed like good support.
Summary: It's a good thing I'm an MCSE and been messing around with Windows since the beginning. The Solid State Drive (32GM) is pretty darn slow for an SDD. The processors is under-horsed for Win7. 1GB of RAM is a NOT enough, that's the MS minimum recommendation... YOU CANNOT EXPAND the RAM!!! I was not able to upgrade at all with the "WinUpgrade Anytime" feature, which failed for all attempts to take it from the weak Win7 Starter Edition. Documentation SUCKS!
Summary: The Archos hardware is absolute junk. I returned 4 (YES 4) of these to the manufacturer and I had issues with all 4 (2 had the same issue, the other 2 had other issues)....predominantly display problems. The resistive touch screen is ok, for a resistive...but I would avoid this tablet at all costs!
Summary: EDIT: The person that posted before me that was complaining about the screen resolution only being 600 from top to bottom was correct. But, she said the device was not 1080. BUT IT DOES playback in full 1080p. The device is 600 from top to bottom, but 1024 from side to side. Making it 1024x600, which DOES play full 1080p. I was definitely concerned when I saw these other posts complaining about all of the "CONS" of this device.
Summary: 1080p is a designation for a display that has 1080 pixels from top to bottom like an HDTV. This unit has 600 pixels from top to bottom. They are lying blatantly in their literature. For that and that alone, I give it a low rating. If they were not falsely promoting it, I would give it four stars.
Summary: With only a single USB connection and no SD card slot or video output, the Archos 9 isn't very port-friendly. We would have especially liked to see an SD card reader, which would make this a potentially useful tool for on-the-go photographers. Some additional connections, including two extra USB ports and an Ethernet connection, are available via an Archos port replicator. We thought we'd seen some slow Netbooks before, but nothing quite like the Archos 9.
THEY ARE A BIT SLOW, BUT ARE LIGHT ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO TAKE THEM ANY WHERE

Summary: I REALLY LIKE THE SIZE OF THE ARCHOS 9 TABLET PC. iT COULD USE A BIT MORE STORAGE ON THE MAIN DISK. THE SCREEN IS VERY CLEAR, AND IS EASY ON THE EYES. AS MOST SMALL TABLETS, IT COULD USE BETTER SPEAKERS, BUT THE SOUND PRODUCING CAPABILITIES ARE QUITE GOOD. IT IS REALLY QUITE EASY TO USE AS A PC, AND CAN HANDLE MORE THAN ONE PROJECT AT A TIME I HAVEN'T REALLY USED IT A LOT, BECAUSE OF MY BUSY SCHEDULE.
