    • Very portable (1.8 pounds). Eye-catching. Sturdy. Runs just about any Windows app.
    • Downright awful touchscreen. Needs more RAM; performance is dismal. Just 3 hours battery life even with Wi-Fi turned off.

The Archos 9 is among the very few Windows 7 powered tablets I’ve tried and this unit reminds me of the Viliv line of tablets we tried before, only bigger and cheaper. See our full review of the Archos 9 after the jump. Again, you will need to read our review of the Archos 5 and the Archos 7 to get a better perspective on this one. The Archos 9 comes in a just appropriate size of 8.9 inches but feels a bit heavier for it size. Read more

Needs a better processor, preferably from AMD. It needs A Better Battery, after one hour I'm charging it again. the touch screen was slow to respond, it was better to use the laser roller on the right of the device for it to respond better. Otherwise I think it's okay. better processor would solve most of it's problems. It was too expensive for what I got, I could have bought a dell from 2 years ago and would have gotten a better deal for the money, and I hate dell. Read more

Holy Yuck. We are very disappointed with this tablet. We bought it to do light surfing and watch video...it does neither well. It is slow, the interface is clunky and if it had been bought locally it would have gotten returned as junk. Immagine the framerate of the old silent movies...now add sound. Ta Da... The Archos 9!
