Summary: It has quit working....dose not power up or anything....this is junk!!!! Save your self the hassle....I just purchased a Samsung Tab 3 for my daughter... This thing worked great for a while and then decided to not boot up at all....this had nothing to do with the way it was treated.....it still looks brand new.
Summary: I do not recommend this product to anyone. Customer service is terrible. They have known charger port issues and you can't get anything done. Even though the problems started with the charger port while it was still under warranty, this company is terrible. no customer service at all. They want $67 to repair it. I refuse....it's an inferior product with issues that they are aware of and should fix free of charge.
Summary: Update: I hate to rate the company at 1 star because I have to sell my Archos tablet, and, as I said below, except for charging it was great. But, they said they would give me a refund, so I bought a new tablet. Well they didn't and didn't tell me that they weren't. They never sent the e-mail I was supposed to get, and, as I was telling how unsatisfied I was; they hung up. Never deal with a company that doesn't keep its word! This is one.
Summary: I've had this tablet for less than a year and a a few complaints. The first being that the screen on this unit is terrible. The outer casing is a cheap plastic. The stand on the back of the tablet is a great idea but the implementation is sub par since it is easy to break and does not easily support the tablet. The customer support for this tablet is one of the worst things I've ever seen. My tablet had multiple large patches of dead pixels on the seen.
Summary: NEVER will I buy another Archos product! Gave an Archos 80 G9 to my daughter for Christmas. Stopped working in late March. We sent it in April 5, 2013 and STILL have not received a repair or replacement. Each week I am promised that new one will ship, but still we are waiting. Again, NEVER will I buy another Archos and buyer beware now!
Summary: This product quality is poor. The receptacle for the charger broke the first week and cannot be repaired. I purchased 5 as gifts and all had the same problem at different times. No warranty and no recourse from the vendor.
Summary: Purchased this product for my son for a job well done but after 6 months it would not charge. A internet search stated needed new firmware- Did that - worked for a while. Stopped charging again. Thought it might be the cord, bought a new cord, charged for another couple weeks, stopped charging again. Researched some more on the internet found out there is a problem with charging port- limited warranty in my literature in my box.
Summary: bid for the turbo version and sent me the classic version, with 4GB capacity, this model is not on the archos page , I doubt that the product is original .... Summary: I purchased this product 13 months ago specifically because it was an android with GPS. 2 months after i got it, I installed an archos update that killed the gps and support could not or would not help me get the GPS working again. after 6 weeks, a new firmware was released and i got the gps back. 3 months later, the battery would not hold a charge for more than a minute. it took 4 weeks to get the device replaced.
Summary: Search thorougly online; chose Archos; waited 6 mo. for release and in-stock; April, 2012 Ordered 101 G9 250 Turbo in April; didn't receive it for several weeks because out-of-stock again and again. Received late May, 2012. Damaged case - scratched, nicked and scarred on every surface; stand didn't work. Clearly my "NEW" unit was a refurbed or played kickball with. Contacted Archos and sent pics of damage. Offered full replacement. Archos expected ME to pay return fees.
