Summary: I've had this tablet for less than a year and a a few complaints. The first being that the screen on this unit is terrible. The outer casing is a cheap plastic. The stand on the back of the tablet is a great idea but the implementation is sub par since it is easy to break and does not easily support the tablet. The customer support for this tablet is one of the worst things I've ever seen. My tablet had multiple large patches of dead pixels on the seen.
Summary: bid for the turbo version and sent me the classic version, with 4GB capacity, this model is not on the archos page , I doubt that the product is original .... Summary: We bought this device for our son in April 2012. I am writing this review as of October 2012. In the opinion of my son and me, this is a worthless tablet. The customer service is awful. The updates make things slower. The wi-fi connection will suddenly turn off without warning. The kickstand on the back is flimsy. For the low price, it isn't even worth the hassle once you get it. Customer service from Archos is one of the biggest problems.
Summary: I bought the archos 80 G9 tablet 5 months ago and the sound quit working recently. I also got the Turbo 16 gb for my fiance 3 months ago and it stopped holding a charge. It's now useless as it won't charge up. I contacted archos and haven't gotten a reply back from them as yet. If I had know they would be such a problem I would never have bought them. the reviews seemed great till I read some of the blogs on the same problems I'm having. They're both common problems.
Summary: I purchased this tablet on Feb. 11, 2012 from another website. At first, I was very impressed with it.However, after about a month, the charging port came loose. I sent it in to be fixed. After almost 2 weeks, I called to check on the status. They told me that it could not be fixed and that they would be sending me a new one. It is now June 18, 2012, and I still have no tablet. Every time I call, it's a different story.
Summary: I got this on April 5. I returned an earlier version of Archos 80 G9 from J & R because the unit does not charge after 30+ days, hence unusable. The new 80 G9 unit I got doesn't have the charging problem but now the screen is pitch black - another useless device. The battery indicator has a green light. I bought a G9 10 inch unit last December and had the same charging issue.
In two tablets I got: No Sound on Skype. Ocassional Sound/Video on Netflix/Youtube.

Summary: I got this tablet for ICS Netflix and skype but came with HoneyComb and worked fine the first night using Skype, Netflix, browsing and a few kids games. Summary: My sons had both got one of these and both charging ports broke after about a year. The first broke after 11 months and he was sent a replacement but the other was just outside warranty. Both were well looked after and treated with care. After checking the internet found that this is a common problem. Shame about the flimsy charging port as otherwise worked great but don't expect it to last!
