Not touchy Enough

Summary: Got this awhile back just to have. It did good for the time, and would recommend it. The screen did get really funky once it got humid out, failing to register touches or doing it in the wrong spot.
Summary: I got mine for $7.25 plus $4.99 shipping so even though my "new" archos came in an opened, smelly box with post-its with scribbled notes from its first owner... it works which for my history of archos devices (6 ordered 4 returned) is great for my wants, a REAL pocket sized device to read ebooks; it works well... better battery life than previous archos I've had/tried for less than twelve bucks how could I not try this ...
bit like having a wife, great when you get it but can get annoying and boring over time

Excerpt: this tablet was good when i got it but has since after quite a bit of use becoming obsolete in my hands as i'm finding many apps do not want to run very well and has stopped being able to play youtube videos any more. It does not cope very well at all with many top games that are out for android nowerdays.
Summary: Touch panel condition is not so good and insensitive to touch. After a year of usage of the tablet, touch panel came to mulfunction. I think touch panel is the weak point of this tablet. Also, I found the back panel gets so hot during the long usage of this tablet presumably because of inappripriate heating design. I ended up to the conclusion samusung mp3 player is the better choice compared with archos43.
Summary: ...this was a decent device. ATM today, here and now I'd easily go for a Samsung 4.0 or 5.0(more features, better stock firmware and overall build quality) over this puppy any day of the week. pros: plays some video and audio formats OOB(most of the common ones), nice size and weight for what it is: combo portable video/audio player. Personally I never used mine much for audio, but it was fine for outdoor video(mediatomb shared) and light web browsing.
It's alright, but there are better and cheaper options

Summary: I've had this product for almost exactly a year now. The main reason I got it was for the bluetooth tethering support, which worked amazingly well. I had a $35 phone plan with unlimited data on a dumbphone and could tether as much as I wanted with no penalty. Pros: - Great media player. Plays every obscure audio or video codec that you could possibly think of. - Good subtitle support.
Summary: I thought I had found the perfect little tablet; as it turns out I almost did. The 43 grows on you but beware, it has some mysterious faults that will make depending on it a crap shoot. Along with a dozen or so "system apps" that you will likely not use yet you cannot get them off the device unless you 'root' it making its already limited RAM more of an issue (not unique to the Archos by any means).
Summary: after i recived the item (archos 43it) fast great shiping item arived as promised worked very well . I only wished the archos had mulity touch lol . The archos 43it fit in my pants pocket no problem long battery life . After about three months something went wrong with the screen . I was watching a movie an after went to my bedroom turned the tablet on from sleep dont know what happend but i cant calabrate the screen im a programer so i tried putting a new android os...
Summary: In short, this is one of the best android tablets out there. It is small enough to still fit in your pocket, yet large enough to have one of the best screens ive seen in a while. The biggest complaint that ive heard is the screen, and all you have to do is install an app called launcherpro, and the device becomes 100% more responsive. This is actually what ive seen from many android devices and launcherpro makes everything so much more smooth.
