Summary: A pain to set up. Very slow, even with good wifi signals.Touchscreen controls twitchy and sometimes unresponsive. Got it as a gift for a family member... They don't even use it. someone... They don't even use it. Not worth it, don't buy.
Summary: Except voice line connectivity. This is the norm for an internet tablet. My only problem is that it hangs periodically when I am playing MP3 music. This is a HUGE problem for me since I bought it for this purpose. I did not want to surf the internet, use WIFI to pick up email, etc.
Summary: I've owned the Archos 43 Internet Tablet for one and a half years. The touchscreen is essentially broken. This Archos hosts a resistive touchscreen, which is more workable with a stylus (of which it does not come with). The accuracy on the touch screen is horrible, especially with you are browsing the internet (how to click links in tight spots, even when zoomed in and using a pen lid).
Good product, lousy service. Could've been iHappy.

Summary: I bought the Archos 43 not too long ago. I figured I'd try to avoid the iRut that so many people are stuck in & save a few bucks along the way. While this is a good product, I would caution any reader of this review against sending any unit in for repairs--it's nothing but an organization of crooks.
Summary: Archos 43 4.3-Inch 8 GB Internet Tablet Given to my daughter as a birthday gift and she was unable to use the MP3 player app as the screen would freeze and the music would stop. She would have to restart the app to get the music going again. She only wanted the MP3 part so I bought her a regular cheap MP# player and it works fine. I now have the Archos and am attempting to learn how to use it.
Attempts to use with Sirius XM failed. Slow, quick to freez up...

Summary: I bought two of these Archos 43s to try to receive Sirius XM radio by internet. Several technical calls have occurred with both Archos and Sirius/XM and those results are summarized for you below if you are interested. Perhaps, first, I need to tell you both of the units have been returned and I do not intend to ever buy another Archos 43. The first was returned because a QWERTY keyboard could never come up on the screen, making any application impossible.
Waste of Money Company will not stand behind there product

Summary: Initially I thought this product was great, but in less than a week the screen has cracked making the device completely useless. I contacted archos because the product was in my pocket at the time, with no contact other than what any cell phone or other device would experiance in a pocket, and they told me that there product essentially cannot be carried like any other similar electronic device. They expect me to pay for another screen that will brake a week later.
Summary: Archos 43 4.3-Inch 16 GB Internet Tablet with Android I bought this thing, because it was the most compatible tablet with multiple video formats and an HDMI port. It works 45% of the time, the rest of the time is spent trying to "force close" simple applications such as music or video playback. It feels nowhere near as sturdy as any of the other tablets out there. The screen is extremely hard to use unless you use a pen, which is not supplied with the product.
Summary: This is my second Archos purchase (previous was their internet tablet 10 which I returned to Amazon after 4 hours). I bought this as a birthday present for my daughter. Reading all the great reviews I thought that finally I can get out the Steve Job's grip and buy a proper Android device. I was disappointed right away! The screen is very un-responsive and difficult to work with. It is not very clear and really cannot be compared with any HTC/ Apple screen.
