Summary: A pain to set up. Very slow, even with good wifi signals.Touchscreen controls twitchy and sometimes unresponsive. Got it as a gift for a family member... They don't even use it. someone... They don't even use it. Not worth it, don't buy.
Summary: Except voice line connectivity. This is the norm for an internet tablet. My only problem is that it hangs periodically when I am playing MP3 music. This is a HUGE problem for me since I bought it for this purpose. I did not want to surf the internet, use WIFI to pick up email, etc.
Summary: I've owned the Archos 43 Internet Tablet for one and a half years. The touchscreen is essentially broken. This Archos hosts a resistive touchscreen, which is more workable with a stylus (of which it does not come with).
Summary: I am usually very easy to please, but I cannot express enough my dislike for this device. It stems primarily from the extreme difficulty of utilizing anything due to the resistive touchscreen - this difficulty being exacerbated by the small size of the device. I sold a 4 yr.
Summary: If you buy one be very delicate with it wont take much abuse
Pros: product looks nice and is cheap
Cons: Feels very cheap had problems updating android reduced storage for apps makes it hard to download and save . only 256mb allocated for apps and no way to designate more space only way to make space is to transfer apps from allocated space to other memory not very user friendly archos customer serv...
Summary: Ive but this one when it was 120$ last year and now the screen is broken. I will never buy an Archos again due to the inacuracy of the touch screen. My Next device will be a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Note that SAMSUNG have better touch screen then the past years. Quality,Power and more
Cons: 1.Its the worst touch I ever had. INACURATE. 2.For the same Price you can get a Ipod Touch at big surface store (I know androids is better than APPLE OS BUT! if you want 100% quality Android device you need to spend 500$+ for a real Tablet)
Good product, lousy service. Could've been iHappy.

Summary: I bought the Archos 43 not too long ago. I figured I'd try to avoid the iRut that so many people are stuck in & save a few bucks along the way. While this is a good product, I would caution any reader of this review against sending any unit in for repairs--it's nothing but an organization of crooks.
Summary: Given to my daughter as a birthday gift and she was unable to use the MP3 player app as the screen would freeze and the music would stop. She would have to restart the app to get the music going again. She only wanted the MP3 part so I bought her a regular cheap MP# player and it works fine.
Summary: Purchsed on Fed. 2nd 2011. I bought this as my first touch screen MP3 player. I wanted it to replace a smaller nontouch screen player and I found this which has many features. It seemed very portable, could still watch a movie for traveling, gets internet, could act as an internet phone (it is...
Pros: Screen slightly larger than ipod's Android os Good size Decent screen resolution Internet
Cons: Touch screen Touch screen Touch screen Buggy software Many quirks Some features are a pain or dont work as advertised slow
Summary: in their email to me they said if i don't respond within 2 days they will ship it back to me. 8 days later i call them to see where it is/ why its not here yet, they tell me they havent shipped it. the 2 days thing is just a scare tactict. don't let archos scare you into giving them money.
Pros: plays music, videos. lets you go on the internet.
Cons: the screen broke after about a month. i emailed customer service. they made me jump through a bunch of hoops to get an RMA number. i told them the screen was broke. they eventually gave me an RMA number and told me to send it in. a few days later they send me an email saying the screen isnt cover...
