Summary: The adage of "Buyer Beware" and "You Get What You Pay For" certainly fits here. With NO Google Play Store app ability, you're severly restricted as to the apps you can install (most apps aren't compatable) and after a short time I've found that my Archos 101 is somewhat selective even connecting to...
Summary: Maybe this review does not reflect the whole rating. That's what I got. Archos looked good (screen had some slide marks) but when I did the WiFi connection setup could not enter the password because 0 and 9 wouldn't work. I did various touch screen calibrations but didn't work after that.
Summary: I bought mine about a year ago and thought at first that I was doing something wrong, then let my son use it and he had the same problems. I procrastinated in returning it until it was too late, and I used it maybe 10 times since, always ending up frustrated be the performance: -Restarts several...
Summary: This tablet has been a continual frustration, and I should have just returned it. Having little time to work with it more at first, I waited too long. Next time I'll spend more and just buy a new iPad!!
Pros: Looks good, lightweight, very portable
Cons: Touch screen is not responsive close to edges. Lag time when browsing internet similar to dial-up speed. The touch screen problem alone is enough to make this tablet not worth buying.
Pros: The physical aspects of the tablet are great. Decent weight, but not too heavy, lots of useful ports and the tablet is pretty fast.
Cons: The AppLib is horrible! It took two days to finally connect to it, then once we did, it was easy to get kicked off. This does not have the "App Market" most of us Android users are used to. The AppLib is not well supported and not ready for tons of users per day. I'm sure this was due to it being...
Summary: ***This part is the update after 2 days of use. I started finding all of my favorite apps in apps lib to my surprise, it was great. Appslib is not a bad thing like some of the reviews lead on but they are right that there's quite a bit of pornographic apps available and very visual for everyone to...
Summary: Much concern for this device comes with the fact that this app is not Android ready. If you are a novice looking to explore and enjoy the Android market & Apps, buyer beware! I was able to download Android 2.2.1 with extreme difficulty and now even all the apps do not work.
Pros: Thin & lightweight. pretty good battery life. Sturdy.
Cons: Does not come with Android OS market!! Graphics display could be better.
Summary: Information; Archos 101IT accessories; skintomi carbon fiber wrap case protector, leather case, backup battery, HOLUX GPS receiver, Archos screen protector, headphone y splitter and cup holder car mount from mount guys. Purchased mid April Tablet is laggy and freezes frequently.
This would be a great tablet, if the screen wasn't so awful

Summary: I owned an Archos 101 for a few hours before quickly returning it. For me, the device did not live up to expectations nor was it an acceptable product for my intended use. The caveat to this is that this type of device is intended to be used in a variety of ways (gaming, Internet browsing, eBook...
