Summary: anyone who is looking to purchase a archos tablet used. I would recommend to stay away and purchase another brand. if you research online these tablets have lots of issues with charging, and customer service is ridiculous. like I said do your research. it seems like a lot of people are selling there problem units used and are trying to pass on the problems to someone else.
Summary: Item defective..within first few minutes accelerometer malfunctioned and could not access the internet very often even with Wifi present. Amazon.com however, was EXCELLENT about taking it right back, and as promised, I had a full refund two days after they received it back. They even paid return shipping. Thanks Amazon, for making this experience much less bitter.
Summary: This archos tablet was purchased by me one year and one month ago. about a week ago, i noticed some strange spots on the screen, and noticed that it had spots on the touch screen that it would not pick up my touch. A day or so later, the aluminum plate on the back of the device popped loose, and the spots on the screen got larger.
Actually gave it away, did not want to list it on ebay.

Summary: Very disappointed. OS makes difficult for better applications. Very sluggish. The negative about Android is the OS update an the apps eventually are not supported. Manufactures leave you stranded, they want you to buy a newer model. I'm done with androids until the manufacturers support there product. Hurray Apple! Hurray BlackBerry. Playbook an I never thought I would say this. I look forward to Windows 8 products this winter...
Summary: I am 40 years old now and I have made countless purchases over my many years. I have NEVER in my life encountered such a poorly designed and dysfunctional product. My biggest regret is that I did not get back here to warn more of you sooner. I got so frustrated with the device that I shelved it and waited for a new update, hoping it would get better. Three updates later and it is still clearly the worst purchase I have EVER made.
Cons: Touchscreen works poorly, processor too weak (sluggish and lags), over-all buggy and quirky
Summary: Terrible experience on the 10.1" Archos 101 tablet. Was trying to buy the dual core 1.5Ghz version on Honeycomb from Archos but Amazon link was misleading. Only showed 1. Ghz processor and comes running pre-historic Froyo :-( Complete fail...Will be returning...
Summary: For the price, I liked this tablet. I used it for 8 months and was able download (free) all the apps I use. While it was working, my only con was that the user interface was clunky. It took a long time for certain things to load and it would get hung up and need to be rebooted too often. I tested an Ipad 2 and there was no comparison on speed, ease of use, slickness (Archos was the loser).
Summary: Friends, i had the archos 101 for 3 months i tested it and used it intensively. These are the problems i observed : - device freezes sudenly ( even after full reinitialization ) - battery takes 4 days or more to fully charge - keyboard hard to use because of the time between typing a character and appearing on the screen - camera has horrible imaging quality - after installing some apps it became extremely slow ....
Summary: DO NOT PURCHASE, DO NOT PURCHASE, you do not need this tablet if you have a 3rd grade level education
Pros: Price, size of screen, slim
Cons: Slow, no educational applications, having a hard time download applications on wireless G network, the camera is low quality, purchase 3, return 2, kept one for my 2 year since he doesn’t need a real applications.
