Summary: The Archos 101 G9 16GB is by no means a bad 10.1 tablet... when it works. The specs are solid, especially for the price, but Archos seems to have skimped on their quality assurance for these tablets. My device had two main issues: first, the touch screen lost calibration after a few minutes of use, no matter how many times you calibrated it; second, the audio had random crackling and distortion that seemed to come and go as it pleased.
Summary: I'd purchased the previous version of the 10.1 on ebay, paid $180 for it. I LOVED it, used it non-stop (however, with their firmware updates, I could no longer use/view Youtube videos-my favorite usage). With the arctools which allowed access to the real android market and flash, it rocked. It had 2 speakers, centered "kickstand" good response time, just ran into hangups trying to load some sites (HOWEVER, I could view Flash content).
250gb HD is nice but not worth the constant glitches
14 September 2012
Summary: I bought this item to use as a media server and gps in my big rig. The 250gb HD made it perfect for this. Or so i thought. Unfortunately, the product and software are poorly designed. Half the time the GPS does not work and i have to link it through the gps on my phone via bluetooth to lock a location. Archos claimed to have addressed this issue with its last update but this is not the case.
Summary: i bought the product due to the features listed but turn not working like rear camera when there wasn't any rear camera even the front camera was poor when taking picture including battery durability, you cant get skype download likewise the power switch does work right and always trip off every ten second if not touch.you can get anything download to desk.
What good is power when I can't even control the interface?

Summary: Length:: 1:40 Mins I have owned my Archos 101G9 Turbo for nearly 4 months now and will be keeping it in hopes of a firmware update that will fix my touchscreen problem. I will NOT be buying another Archos product for a LONG time, if EVER! Pros: Cost! I wanted something that had a USB host port and mini HDMI, and this had both right on board, unlike the Transformer series without the additional keyboard/battery dock (and additional price!).
Archos 101 G9, Decent tablet with a lot of nagging issues that frustrates.
8 May 2012
Summary: The Archos 101 G9 was what i expected but then went down and under. I've been looking for a good budget tablet and one that gives me the most of what i get. Unfortunately the Archos was a good tablet for the price but what i got as a product was below from what I had read. Hardware When you first pick up the tablet, you feel the heavy size, it felt heavier than a typical 2lb dumbbells. It felt like i was picking up a 5lb tablet.
Summary: I got this tablet as part of a study program, preloaded with the app I need for my studies. That app works well most of the time, but that's abut the only thing that does. I am typing this review on the Archos and it can barely keep up wth my typing speed. Turbo, indeed. Freezes all the time on streaming videos, apps crash frequently, even freezes when I'm just trying to get back to the home screen.
nice tablet works well at first, poor power supply unit. Keep your money and buy better, you desereve it
