Summary: Great tablet for the price! It has met my needs. I previously bought the archos 101 and wanted to try a upgraded version. I use it to watch my netflix movies in my big screen. Easy set up, faster processor than my previous one. I wish archos would to generate newer versions. Even though it only has one speaker, the sound is great!
Summary: Worked great out of the box, but wait until you need service or need to replace the battery. Archos service is NON-EXISTENT. They don't answer emails and the phone lines automatically disconnect you. Now I need to find a third party service center just to change the battery. Eventually your battery will also deteriorate and you will be left with a brick. Search for there service complaints before you buy.
Summary: I WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER ARCHOS TABLET!!! I had the archos 80 g9 and the headphone jack was busted right out of the box. I figured with blue tooth, I could get along without it. However, 3 ½ months later it would refuse to take a charge. In response to my warranty request they sent me a new charger . . . lasted 3 months . . would not take any charge or boot. Sent tablet back to Archos (paid to ship it back).
Pros: Tablet worked well when it worked. Good internet response. Good handling of different video formats. Liked the way the tablet was set up. Good picture quality.
Cons: Headphone jack didn't work out of box Slow charging even with supplied charger (4-8 hours) Very loud beep with no pattern to its occurrence Stops charging at all or crashes and won't boot up (see other thoughts below)
worst product ever....it lasted about 2 weeks and then we were not able to return it. make sure u get warrenty.. dont buy this!!

Summary: WE GOT THIS TABLET AFTER THANKSGIVING AND GAVE IT TO HER FOR CHRISTMAS..SHE WAS SO EXCITED WHEN SHE OPENED IT IT LASTED 4 DAYS AND THEN IT WENT BLANK. WE TRIED TO SEND IT BACK TO COMPANY BUT NO REPLY FROM THEM AND AMAZON WILL NOT TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE IT WAS OVER 90 DAYS BECAUSE WE GAVE IT TO HER FOR XMAS AND ORDERED TO EARLY THE WOULD NOT HONNOR RETURN....WORST PRODUCT EVER ...DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Summary: Has some very impressive features that impressed me but the one I purchased was not very durable. I bought one for my college son as a B'day gift and it developed a very small under screen crack in one corner after about a month. Unfortunately we bought it when there was no unit on display and could not tell from the carton picture how the thin plastic case can flex. Should have taken it back to the store rather then take a chance with it.
Summary: I've had this for a year, and it is hands-down the worst electronics product I've purchased in the past 10 years. Firmware was buggy from the start under Android ICS, and it has only gotten worse with Jelly Bean. Runs SLOW 90 percent of the time. Like to load you tablet up with apps? Forget it. Check the Archos forums for threads describing how installing anything beyond the bare-bones OEM apps means that the performance grinds to a halt.
Seems like a good product for the price but support is horrible

Summary: I purchased an Archos 10.1 G9. I got it set with apps/programs and accessories and then gave it to my daughter for her birthday. It has a nice display and has connection options which are nice. The mini-usb plug seems flimsy which may have just been the one I received. In all, reasonably happy going in for the money spent. The problem started after she had used it for 6-8 weeks when the battery stopped accepting a charge.
Summary: I agree with everything written negatively about this pad in all the reviews thus far. To recap, it locks up frequently, letters stick as you are typing, it shuts off automatically and reboots, customer support doesn't exist, the camera is ridiculous as there is no peep hole to see what you are picturing, etc. My husband bought this as a Christmas gift for me in Dec 2012 from P.C. Richards.
