Summary: To start with, I LOVE MY iPAD! I've had it since it came out in 2010. It's been around the world with me. I have replaced the SIM cards with local ones and was able to get cheap local service, then switched back when i got home.
Summary: The product itself was fine. It was in decent condition and it worked as it was supposed to (exept for the fact that it always said it wasnt charging when plugged in even though it was charging VERY SLOWLY) But I guess I expected it to be able to handle more apps but keep in mind when buying the...
Summary: This product is simply outdated at this point. There is no camera and the operating system is maxed out at 5.1.1 so several applications are not compatible. The ipad 1 still works well for web browsing, music, and some of the simple apps.
Summary: The ipad is great technology and the kids LOVE it. The first generation is all I need for the kids to play with, but with all of the new ipads that have followed, I'm finding that many of the apps are no longer supported and can't be updated.

Summary: The lack of a camera was not an issue with me at all. But you may need one and this doesn't have it. Overall it's a great toy for my kids but, for now, I still use my laptop for heavier things than looking at videos and messing around on the internet.
Pros: It's convenient for sitting on the couch watching videos and/or light internet browsing. The unique interface is enjoyed by my kids with games and it's very user friendly. Think of it as a bike with training wheels. I let my 8 year old use this without much concern.
Cons: It doesn't do much heavy lifting in terms of functionality. It's very simple like a cell phone. It's also a bear to type on. There is a slight lag in typing. The touch pad interface is indeed amazing but, as far as words per minute are concerned, it's still much slower and very error prone. I am ...
Summary: posting on Apple forums will only get me strong opinions (or whatever euphemism you prefer) from the Apple fanboys who lurk there, so thought i'd post it here, where people may find it useful. have owned this device since Christmas, when my wife got it for me as a present.
