  • Summary: The product is as described, the problem is that you can't buy the warranty from either Apple or Walmart. I am unsure on where the actual refurbishing vender information is located.

  • Summary: The ipad 4 was in excellent condition and my wife was very satisfied with this being her mothers day gift. I was very disappointed to find out that the Walmart refurbished Ipad 4 only has a 90 day warranty.

Just Too Heavy!

B, Staples
27 February 2014
  • Excerpt: Only the iPad Air seems light enough to comfortably hold and read from. Bought this as in-between iPad2 and iPar Air, but it is simply too heavy to be practical to carry around, read from, etc. Can't understand why anyone would want it rather than a more fully functional laptop given that the same Apps are available for your iPhone or iPod Touch.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy to Use, Quality Construction
  • Cons: Hard To Use, Heavy bulky

Fisher Price could have designed the UI.

AaronZel, CNET
5 November 2013
  • Summary: Apple's UI resembles a kids play toy. Probably why it is popular with young children. Just press the big Icon and something happens. While Apple copying Androids notification system recently was a step in the right direction it is not nearly enough to keep up with the competition.
  • Pros: light, powerful processor, nice screen, the most apps. Easy for children and the technically challenged to use.
  • Cons: Outdated UI. Basically just a big app drawer. No widgets. No customizable home screens. On something of this size it is just not acceptable. While Windows and Android have had great strides in this area Apple has been stagnant.

Was not Factory unlocked

Kristina M. Darrington, Amazon
30 March 2013
  • Summary: I was more that displeased to find when I went to connect the iPad I purchased to my Verizon account that it was not a factory unlocked device and that I have to use a moblie hot spot on the fly sice it was a ATT carrier. This was a major reason I wanted a factory unlocked iPad so I wasn't chanined to one carrier. I like the ipad just not that the seller lied ablout it being factory unlocked.

It is the same old iPad in terms of software...

jnb5531, CNET
20 March 2013
  • Pros: iOS is stable, good build quality but heavy
  • Cons: Lack of innovation, first generation can do the job a little slower. siri is useless except for bad entertainment, can't play flash, open zips, pricey attachments for accessories. Can't customize. Not worth the money. There's newer technologies

Google Chrome and Apple should get along and make life easier for the consumer. Bad taste in my mouth for both products!

Heather Townsend, Amazon
7 February 2013
  • Summary: I bought this IPad to use for centers in my classroom. To use for math apps and reading apps. I also bought it to use as a computer instead of buying two devices. I really like all the educational apps but I am very frustrated with the use of google chrome!!!!!!! I got to my curriculum writing conference and found out we would be using Google Chrome to create all our lessons. It was fustrating using google Chrome on the IPad.

Apps crash, especially Safari, just like my iPad 1.

thechoop, CNET
14 November 2012
  • Summary: I would wait until there is a group of users that confirm Apple has solved the issue of apps crashing and booting you to the home screen. Until then, don't spend ~$ 500 on a hope and a dream.
  • Pros: I do not have any
  • Cons: Personally, I cannot see why this product crashes just like my iPad 1. Completely unacceptable. Also, what is all the hoopla about the retina display? Honestly, I cannot tell the difference between my iPad 1 and my iPad 4.
