Summary: When I first purchased the Kindle Fire, I loved it. I could use most of my android apps from my phone on it, and the screen resolution, very responsible touch screen, and variety of options were all winners. I was thrilled!

Summary: As the years go by (I've had the HDX for 2 years) I get more and more disappointed...the system gets slower and more unresponsive whether it's because of each new update or the HDX just wasn't that great in the first place.
Summary: There is a known problem with the third generation HDX. After buying it new they sent me multiple refurbished replacements. If you plan to watch videos or play games for more than a few minutes at a time, expect slowly but steadily increasing overheating problems. Flickering during videos.
Summary: Dear Kindle Fire: I love you. I was in like with my Kindle Touch, but you are amazing. You have a nice, clear screen and your speakers are pretty good. I usually don't have trouble getting on line and shopping is really easy. Just touch it. I am looking forward to many happy years with you.
I bought this to replace my first generation Kindle Fire ...

Summary: I bought this to replace my first generation Kindle Fire 9" (which just didn't perform very well) and potentially my iPad mini. It replaces the old Fire very well; its fast and the wifi is much stronger, but it still has the Fire lack of apps.
Summary: LOVE my kindle Fire HD. So much more memory and the graphics are so crisp and clear. My only concern is the lack of battery life. My original Kindle Fire can hold a charge for several days if I just read my book for an hour each night.
NOT HAPPY WITH LACK OF FREE INFORMATION ON HOW TO USE THE KINDLE FIRE HDK 7

Summary: Kindle Fire HDK 7 does not come with any user information. One has to experiment, call Kindle for help, and finding that often the people who are trying to help don't have all the information. I think I saw for sale a booklet of direction on uses of the Kindle Fire HDK 7.
Summary: Very difficult to insert charger and headset into device. The angle required for insertion is about 20 degrees with more force required than I've used on any other device, including my original kindle.
Summary: This is really a great tablet. It's FAST, responsive, and has an amazing picture. Sound quality is nice. It's easy to use. I mainly like to do a lot of reading and the screen and kindle program make that very easy on my eyes, especially in the dark.
