Refurbished is not the way to go.

Summary: After going round and round- thinking about what tablet/TV Fire combination to get- I tried the 7” HDX but found it small and hard to read from – I am older and my eyes aren’t what they used to be so I sent it back and ordered a refurbished 8.9HD – What A Mistake!
Summary: I did a lot of research before I purchased my tablet. I polled my friends, read numerous reviews, and apparently it wasn't enough. I thought with all things being equal between the kindle fire HD and the ipad, the lower cost would prevail, but i was surely mistaken.
Summary: Silk Browser is terrible!! I had a first generation Kindle and really liked it but then it wouldn't take a charge which I understand is a common problem. I was given the option to upgrade to this one at a reduced price so decided it do it. I like the bigger screen.
Excerpt: I need instructions to read & follow. All I got was were to go on the internet. I've put my Kindle away because it's too confusing and will probably not use it. At my age, 76, I dislike having to look up every word of explanation online. Really disappointed.
Pros: Attractive Design, Compact Design, Durable, Easy To Read, Good Screen Quality
Summary: Bought the 8.9 Fire with the 4G LTE AT&T service. After no direction at all on how to set up the AT&T service we finally managed to find out how to make the payment for the service, only to find out it is $50 per month instead of $50 per year as advertised.
Summary: I find this device too controlling, you have to use their browser, which is rubbish in comparison to chrome, with a bit of fiddling though I managed to get it on to my device, I bought it to replace my kindle touch and be able to use the internet, but the kindle touch is better for reading.
