7 May 2013
Excerpt: Since 1996, this author has only had positive encounters with purchases and service from Amazon.com . When given the opportunity to review the new Kindle Fire HD , this author was honestly excited with high hopes and this device did not disappoint.
Conclusion: The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 as a dedicated e-reader does one of the best jobs in the business. The store offers a copious amount of newspapers, magazines, books, audiobooks, and other content to keep you permanently glued to it.
Pros: Dolby Surround Sound, Whispersync for Voice, Immersion Reading, and X-Ray, Deep and Expansive ecosystem, Gorilla Glass, High Resolution, Long Battery Life
Cons: User Loaded Apps Tend to look Pixelated in the Carousel, “Customers Also Bought” Gets in the Way on the Main Menu, Lots of Hoops to Jump through If You Don’t Live in the USA, Newspaper Selection Lacks
Excerpt: In design terms, the 8.9-inch flaunts an all-black colour scheme and rubberized back with metal strip. That rubberized back looks smart and easy to handle. The screen size comes with dimensions of 239mm wide, 163mm tall and is 9mm thick which is convenient and easy to hold in one hand while reading...
Conclusion: It has a great screen, decent speakers and easy access to the biggest library of content in the world. If you want to watch, listen, play or read, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is a very nice piece of kit.
